    look: 3.5 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 4.75 | feel: 4.5 | overall: 4.25

    Dark pour, black and opaque in the glass; virtual no head. Straight-forward whiskey barrel aged component to the smell; elements of dark roasted grains and chocolate; nice if underwhelming barrel aging notes; tobacco juice. Incredible chili pepper flavor; cocoa powder. Heavy body; fiery Carolina Reaper heat; medium-soft residual sugar backdrop.

    I didn't read the label and didn't expect the wild chili pepper heat (I'm sure I read this when ordering the beer, but that was month's ago)...regardless, I love this crazy ass melding of imperial stout and bold chili pepper flavor. A very satisfying in-your-face dark chili pepper beer. Amazing!

    Kind of looks like a Scissor Tailed Fly Catcher, the state bird of Oklahoma, they've taken some liberties

    Lots of yard work today, had a few SNPA during the day. Drinking this, last one from the TN Haul I was gifted. It’s ok, better in the can than a glass. Bit of citrus, mild bitter. It’s 25 February canned so a bit old for a can sitting in a store shelf. Would be nice to try this on tap one day.

    I think I have posted this band before, heard this on the radio while eating tonight. Just pure joy. Love this.

    Interesting Just looked up a picture of the bird you referenced. Very similar with a very long tail . No reference on the can.
