Deschutes in Chicago?!

    Sorrie I didn't know, but can you blame a guy for being psyched? Anyways did you guys hear a rumor that Russian River might be coming to Chicago?

    The rumor I heard is that a large distributor put in a bid for it to come to Chicago...let us pray.

    Russian River just pulle out of Washington state. Theyre not about to enter Chicago.

    All kidding aside...yep, just finishing off my first couple sixers of Red Chair. A solid sessionable IPA when I'm typically used to 7+%ers. Deschutes has been doing a lot of events this week at places like Maria's and Beer Bistro. I missed the giant barrel trailer myself.

    I saw Woody at World of Beer in Naperville! I tried Mirror Pond, Red Chair, Chainbreaker, Hop Henge, Black Buute Porter. Then we got a real treat: Dissident sour ale. Best sour ale I have ever had. Amazing stuff. Also had the Abyss. Great event overall. Bought two sixers of Mirror Pond and Red Chair at Binny's. Looking forward to enjoying Deschutes brews over the next few years. Oh, and the WOB staff has a Cherry Rye BCS. I got the last tiny butm wasn't much but I savored it. Ahhhh....can't wait until next year :slight_smile:

    Resurrecting this thread- probably making the drive down to Chicago this weekend from Wisconsin. What Deschutes brews do they have in town and where can I get some- draft and/or bottled? I'm sure it'd be asking a bit much for Abyss and Black Butte, but wondering what else can be gotten in Chicagoland.

    I can't say what what as all there, but I was at Binny's South Loop two weeks ago and they had most if not all of the regulars. I just picked up some Red Chair and it's amazing.

    Red Chair, Mirror Pond, Chainbreaker, & Black Butte are all plentiful. There was some Hop Henge around but i'm pretty sure its gone now.
