ISIL cross-post. I went to a local restaurant that has a beautiful outside bar area, but it is not warm enough for it to be open. I thought about going to a taproom somewhere else, but I admitted defeat, then chose to enjoy this legendary beer at home. Seeing this song performed live last week blew my mind. I was right in front of Phil Anselmo. He gave me a guitar pick.

Good morning BAdvocates. Quite impressed with these Denali Brewing Dude Mountain Hazy IPAs. In fact, I’m quite impressed with all their brews from the two variety packs I purchased.

Back home from our little 3 day beach getaway with a Jai Alai. It's summer hot here, feels like 101.

 

Equilibrium Swiss Bliss Imperial Stout, 11% ABV. Pours moderately thick and black, with a half-finger brown head that left nice lacing rings as I drank. Aroma is cocoa, almond, and marshmallow. Taste is strong semi-sweet chocolate, almond, marshmallow, and coffee, moderately sweet, slightly bitter. Thick and smooth mouthfeel with decent carbonation, overall outstanding.

This is apparently meant to mimic Swiss Miss. Coincidentally, Swiss Miss was originally manufactured in my small home town, and two of my brothers worked at that factory for a few years. We're having shredded pork sandwiches for supper.

 

Trying out this Match Strike from Phas Three - haven't had one of these hazy types in a while, glad this one leans closer (in taste) to a resiny West Coast
