Doing a Sonoma Valley trip next month - definitely plan to hit up Russian River, but any other brewery recs? Would also love recommendations for a good dinner in Healdsburg or Santa Rosa that isn't too high-end (looking for like $30ish mains). TIA!

Not knowing what styles you're seeking I'll throw out Cooperage and Moonlight as other brewery recs.

Unfortunately, Santa Rosa/Healdsburg is a very spendy area. Maybe consider places like Willi's wine bar in Santa Rosa (good food and wine, and it's been around for quite some time), or possibly Bravas Tapas up in Healdsburg?

If you don't mind a bit of a drive, the wife and I typically have dinner over at the Rurtherford Grill in Rutherford/Napa. Food is quite good, wine markups are gentle, and a meal there won't break the bank. Course its a good hour to get over there from Santa Rosa (via the Calistoga hiway and then hiway 29), so that's definitely a consideration.

Unfortunately, good food in Healdsburg has gotten prohibitively expensive, and Santa Rosa isn't much better. Good luck.

In addition to RR, Moonlight, Cuver and Henhouse.

For food, about 10 min north of Healdsburg there is a great wine country style pizza/Italian place in Geyserville called Diavola. Reasonable prices, highly recommended.

haven't done a santa rosa trip without dierk's parkside cafe breakfast after seeing it on guy fieri like 20 years ago. just love that place for hangover vibes

speaking of, i remember the day when the only rec you could make was flavor bistro for moonlight beers.

LOL! If it was still around, I definitely would have recommended it. Food was good, prices weren't too bad, and they even had a decent wine selection (not to mention the Moonlight draft selection). Alas, the Santa Rosa location has been gone for years now.

So do I. Did you ever participate in the keg toss? :sunglasses:

It would be great if Fogbelt could actually replicate the original recipe for red tail ale.

Saw it in 4pk of cans at Nugget Market a few weeks ago. Grabbed a 4pk. Was an enjoyable trip 'down memory lane'.
