    Clear, dark brown pour, near black and opaque in the glass; decent head, light tan, fizzy yet tight density, fades rather quickly to a patchy, wispy covering. Rich aroma filled with notes of caramel, vanilla, and toffee; brownies. Beautiful flavor; rich chocolate and cocoa with tart cherry and strawberry aspect; boozy; charred grain bitterness. Heavy body; generally rich and silky; bold alcohol heat; lip-smacking stickiness.

    Wow! This is a powerhouse beer exuding dark malt sweetness with a balanced and bold booziness. A great find for big barrel-aged stout fans.

    Awesome, and thanks for shifting my mind to other songs from the Heroes album!

    Impressive. How early do you head out to beat the heat, and is it relatively a flat terrain, or do you have elevation?

    12 miles for 1 + hours was my best here. these days not sure I could break 10, and its flat compared to most places, at least until you near the Wisconsin border. Couldn't imagine trying to cycle in the mountains.
