Weird weather lately. Some sunshine, mostly cloudy(I missed the opportunity to check out some Aurora), always seeming to have chance of rain and more often than not, it does rain.

I'm sipping on this Tripel by Barrel of Monks from Boca Raton in Florida. Not bad.

Zundert Tripel.
Probably one of the last batches as an official Trappist beer. The monastery at Zundert (birth place of Vincent van Gogh) is about to close later this year because there a no new monks to keep the place going.
Some say production of the beer will continue, but not as Trappist ofcourse. Somewhat like what happend at Achel I guess.

I better hoard some of these official Trappists, they keep for a rather long time.

DDH Hopheart IPA from Ārpus in Latvia. This is hazy, but its hops are mega earthy, and it almost reads as peanut-butter flavored to me. It’s weird, but strangely compelling, like a car crash or something.

First warm day so far this year - low 80s F. I'm transplanting my Gong Bao peppers outside today - shouldn't have any more frost until Sept - so I MAY get some peppers. Today's late breakfast beer, still cleaning out Beer Reefer #1:

 

Hey BAs. Just pluggin' away here at the ranch. Cut up firewood logs and gassed up the splitter. What beer could possibly pair well with firewood? Schlenkerla Märzen Rauchbier. Prosit!!
