    Hi all,
*the tornado*. My family in STL city got hit fairly bad, but still nowhere near as worse as some in North STL. Lots of cleanup and rebuilding to do...

Was at the Cellar tonight (5/23), Ambiente sold out so BBT 2023 on tap! Had a 2oz pour of MJK 2024 as well, great stuff. Bartender told me Ambiente is CK's updated recipe of Abraxas, did anyone else know that? New to me, thought that was cool. Also mentioned BA Abraxas 2017 is past it's prime, didn't recommend after I asked his opinion.

Tried their pizza + All Extra Shipper. Pizza was great, like seriously great. And this is coming from a STL local who *doesn't* care for Imo's. (is that to niche?) Anyways, great spot.

I recently moved back to STL after graduating college and am walking distance from SP, so I will be visiting often. Cheers gang.

Had LC 2025.1 the other night and was super impressed. Soft and light with just a hint of peach. Excited to see how it evolves over time but definitely wasn’t disappointed cracking one fresh.

    Cheers!

It’s pretty wild that Tete v2022 has been available to go for a year and a half now, and Oude Fermier v2022 is close behind it

He didn’t mention all the flippers that line up, buy up and sell their beer, it was a lucrative business 10 years ago :joy:, made it extra difficult to track down some beer to drink early on

Wouldn’t that make it easier to get those beers? If everyone in line was keeping their beer, then being at the release would be the only way to get it, right? Surely that would be harder for someone who lives in California.

You’d think, but I’m a trader, I wasnt looking to spend $250+ on a bottle. I’d make a trade offer and I’d get hit up by people interested in selling only, it was a strange time and a shift in beer

a lot of good people got shut out becasue the profiteers would hit hard with multiple mules. Grandmules were real back then

im sure the lines are great now tho, the profiteers had to find real jobs post covid

Drank a Double Barrel Derivation (Double Willett Double Tanzanian) and that baby was HOT! This was after many other beers and still, the alcohol was pretty overwhelming. Very enjoyable still, as there were plenty of other flavors making themselves known, but damn, hottest SP stout I've had to date.

I think they're trying to send a message to LC members. In all honesty it does feel like the LC's are an afterthought at this point. Last year it seemed like new things were coming out rapid fire.

I can't compare last year to any other year but this one, but this membership to this point in 2025 has been underwhelming to say the least.

By this point last year, they had released DGC, 10+10, D18, Parfait 7, and Continuance 5, with a public sale of DB Reverberant mixed in there.

Also - Coexpressionalism is up in the public store.

I feel like SP is the Tool of the beer world. Very popular but they hate their fans :grinning:
