Memories. My wife and I first date was at a Giants game in 1990. We had partial season tickets until we starting having kids in the mid-90s (hour drive, three hour game, and hour back was too much). Loved old Tommie Lasorda slowly walking on the field with the smile and the wave of boos. Nothing like seeing garbage flying across the field during games. Best of all was warm weather back home only to freeze your ass off at the game as the fog rolled in.

Still have the Croix pins.

 

There is a sale pending to a tech/crypto guy named Orion Parrott. looks like it is legit.
Orion claims he wants to keep everything mostly the same when he takes over, but only time will tell.
The good news is Toronado isn’t planning to close down anytime soon.

Its been a couple months since I was there, but I have friends who go regularly and as far as I know, nothing has changed. You can still get $6 pints of Reality Czeck and drink leftover kegs from the barleywine festival that linger all year.

 

The T is still kicking! 38th anniversary this coming Saturday August 16th.

I’m making a note here to add a trip report when I get a chance. With some photos (for those of you who missed the LNBA update).

 

I was there last week, the bartender was really nice. Maybe they are softening in their old age.
