    Just what every Dad needs! a high-test version of Blue Moon-- It tastes almost entirely unlike a Witbier, and I'd be inclined to put it in the American Strong Ale category. But here it is.

    The aroma is powerful orange but quite lovely. The flavor, too, is all orange rather than any bitterness of orange peel. The main flaw is this is just too sweet and cloying. There is no relief of Belgian yeast of a hint of bitterness. But it's not so bad, and can be sipped carefully like some kind of fruity cocktail. From the 19.2 tall can purchased at the Shell station store.

    Hello from Paris! I’m here for a week for work, at the airshow. Hotel room isn’t ready yet. So I’m happy to wander around the Louvre. Stretching the legs is always a good way to fend off jet lag.

    Michelada as I burn another stale IPA from that Avery mixed 12 with NO freshness dates. Hot tub, no jets, don't want to get the neck wet with stiches ( doctor's orders ) just yet.

    This beer is not picture worthy & y'all know what V8 looks like. Cajun season dust & droagon sauce thrown in for zip.

    Gentle rain last night; moderately hazy and warmish this morning - off to Farmers' Market shortly to look for bok choy and other greens.

    Today's New Breakfast Beer:

    Kentucky Old Fashioned Bourbon Barrel Ale from Lexington Brewing. Four-pack of 12 fl oz bottles. Reviewed 14/06/25 (Review 3540).
    Final impression and summation: 4.25 Uncredited label artist. Both flavor and nose are pleasing and highlight the bourbon well, even though the bourbon doesn’t remain at the forefront any significant time. So far, this is the best brew I’ve had from them.
