We'll be dropping another BeerAdvocate Big Beer Box this fall and I'm looking for your suggestions. What brewers, known for brewing outstanding beers that are 8% or higher, would you like to see with an offering in the box? My goal is to get a solid mix of brewers from across the United States with a variety of styles.

For reference, here's the 2024 box details: https://www.beeradvocate.com/community/threads/beeradvocate-big-beer-box-2024.678754/

As always, thanks for your suggestions!

Perhaps an IPA from Brujos or Sapwood Cellars? A Barleywine/Stout by Humble Forager..

Can we include some of the Top 250 beers. It would certainly help the chase!!!!

Two Michigan breweries (not called Founders) with a solid reputation for big beers are Transient Artisan Ales and Wax Wings Brewing. However, both are smallish breweries, and both price their beers out of my price range, so I don't know how either of them will work out for you.

I agree something from the top 250 would be enticing!

I like strong stouts from Firestone Walker, the Bruery and Burial. These boxes never disappoint though, so I'm in regardless.

We have some really good barrel-aged beers on the West Coast, like Fremont, Deschutes, Reuben's and some smaller breweries like Fortside's Night King. I would like beers that have limited access from around the nation so I can try some of the better beers in the USA.

Here to plug Southern Grist D/TIPAs for the hazy side and any of their stout bottles. Very good and very boozy if you don't go for a heavily adjuncted one and I think the prices wouldn't be too bad.

I'd love to see something from FL in the box - maybe some special or limited release from Cigar City, Funky Buddha, Crooked Can, and/or Big Top. (i.e., think Marshal Zhukov's for the un-initiated...):+1::beers:

Adding to my post above where I indirectly mentioned Founders, perhaps they should be nominated for this project, and maybe they could be convinced to brew a popular beer that has been semi-retired such as Devil Dancer, Panther Cub, Black Biscuit, Curmudgeon, etc.

For a U.S. Big Beer Box, it makes sense to avoid expensive, rare beers or those with good distribution. I thought of Pliny the Elder, Heady Topper, Permanent Funeral, a Funky Buddha Imperial Porter or Imperial Stout, and Maine Dinner.

Maybe Jackie O's? They make some great big imperial stouts and barleywines. Masthead would be a nice addition too especially in the stout category.
