Full day biking (Point Pleasant Park), hiking (Halifax Citadel Park) and walking (Halifax Waterfront Boardwalk)…best parking lot for RV was across from Garrison Brewing, so now finished with our site seeing, we’re at the brewery drinking “Juicy! Double IIA”:

More Shadows WC IPA (Citra, Columbus, Simcoe). Navel orange flesh and peel, tangerine, ruby red grapefruit, earthiness, pine resin. Nothing crazy, just a solid west coaster.

Dark, reddish amber color, clear; good carbonation; decent initial head that soon fades to a inner ring of foam inside the glass. Fantastic scent; rich, sweet malts overlayed with notes of cherry and raspberry; chewing tobacco. Sweet malt flavor with a spiffy boozy punch; cherry cough drops and red licorice stick; phenol bitterness. Heavy mouthfeel; sweet and sticky.

This fine, high-octane quadruple offering has a lot to offer. Very tasty and packs a decent ABV wallop. Balanced and complex for the style.

ABV: 10.0%; pouring temperature: 49.8 °F; canning info: 8.45 fl oz., best by Apr 22 2028

OK. Here's another sweet as mama's apple pie local brew: Barrel Theory Very Demure HIPA 7.2% with Nelson Sauvin. Did a bit of tree pruning to achieve apical dominance. Betula are weird and I have 4 hybrids with the street name Weeping Birch. 2 were at 18' and lrg at 23' :beers:

Hey hey BAs! Travel day 40, brewery #40…Tusket Falls Brewing - “Blur” a hazy IPA:

A milky pale gold hazy lite that is soft feeling and kinda sweet. Not for me. I tried the dry cider and it’s quite good.

We’re in a short term parking lot so we’ll head to the next brewery. Cheers y’all!

    Brew day today.
Brewing a Czech Dark Lager akin to McCall Brewing Collective's NOC.
Ben was awesome enough to share his recipe, which with the help of some brewing software, I should achieve something close, I hope.
I don't have a Foeder to age it in, so I'm going to try a medium toast French oak spiral to see if I achieve a similar taste profile during lagering in the secondary.
So, as to not get too drunk while brewing, Yuengling Premium for my brunch beer today.
This batch of beer is mostly for my son, so I hope he likes it, if not, I'll definitely drink it.

    Cheers!
Relax, don't worry, have a cheap beer.

Clear, dark brown pour, near black appearance in the glass; thick, sudsy head, khaki colored. Heavenly nose; fine blend of chocolate and caramel with toasted grains; vanilla; whisper of cinnamon. The taste adds dimension and complexity to the smell; milk chocolate with cinnamon; earthy, subdued vanilla sweetness; dark roasted and charred grain bitterness. Surprisingly light feel for the style; medium-heavy character yet seems a bit thin; boozy undercurrent of heat; dry with a mild stickiness.

This beer exudes decadent richness and lushness.
