As I'm sure y'all know, Bellingham stalwart Boundary Bay is closing in September. I've been contemplating this post for a bit, and a BeerMail from a fellow NW forum denizen prompted me to finally write it. 1st: for specifics, check their website and/or FB/Insta/socials of choice. 2nd: If you'll just be in town at whatever times, here's a few of the things that are weekly events that have earned them the love they get from the community. Sunday night Jazz night in the taproom. Tuesday afternoon in the beer garden is Out Of The Ashes, a band of Special Needs folks that will bring you tears of joy. Thursday afternoon Happy Hour is hosted by Bhams troubador, Robert Sarazin Blake. The creator of the Subdued Stringband Jamboree (a reason to come camp in Deming on it's own: https://stringbandjamboree.com/) hosts every week, and performs alternating weeks. There is also a band later, starting around 8. Friday is Fish Fry night, with another live band at Happy Hourish time. Weekends are different community events, usually a fund raiser. 3rd: If it's been a bit since you've visited, or never have, here's a great excuse to come up. Visit BB, and some of the other breweries in town and out in the county. Come camping! 4th: Obviously, I'm more than happy to meet y'all. I can still give a good tour of BB, and would be happy to show y'all around our wee city. Hit me up. Feel free to ask questions here, or shoot me a beermail.
Timing may not work out, but I think that we will be up on Woodinville in September for our granddaughter's first birthday. So, a first and last visit all in one!
An update for anyone heading towards Bham/Whatcom County, Chuckanut Drive (SR11) has reopened after a rockslide closure.
