It’s often called Tall boy Tuesday for some reason.

Good morning, Whiplash Fatal Deviation from an Irish brewery is by a country mile the best Imp Stout to be found here. In a “V and B”, which is a French franchise focusing on beers and harder liquors from around the world. I’m not greedy I assure you, but their beers are pretty onerous. Good thing is it’s never wasted money.

Replying to a couple of questions from yesterday's thread...

@MutuelsmMark As far as I'm aware it's mainly that they use Cornish Gold malt. I'd struggle to name another beer that calls it's self a Cornish pale though. More a marketing thing I would say.

@rgordon It's made by St Austell Brewery who are based in St Austell in Cornwall. One of the larger breweries in the region, have a lot of their own pubs across the county, so it's easy to find in this area.

Guess this constitutes a Tall Boy, eh? Cheers!

Try this - an album made from recordings of metal objects - pots and pans, panettone boxes, aluminum tread plates, and tape reels from the GRM studio in Paris. The chimes, jingles and resonances are spliced together and arranged into songs.

It looks like you’re going to have a great trip!

I’ve never seen the sample jars by a pump/tap before. Not a bad idea!

    Cheers!

I can’t recommend the Bon Accord enough if you’re into real ale (or Scotch whisky). Glad I get another crack at this pub to end my trip next week.

    Cheers!

Pint of Essential from Treen Brewery. English pale from a very local brewery to the pub.

Gotta admit it’s strange to drink stout by this summer weather but why not. This is a French one, medium 6% abv and flavored with roasted chocolate. Thin bodied. Interesting.

I drank an Export Stout from Sri Lanka yesterday. 9%ABV. Maybe the tropical brewers are onto something.:sunglasses:

Having some morning "juice". Hop Butcher New Zealand Traveling Scientist APA (Nelson, Motueka, Nectaron T-90 and Quantum hop extract). Big zesty lemon and lime juice, white grape, yellow peach, some passionfruit, and pine. Soft, silky, and a much heftier body for the abv. Not as complex as anticipated, but I'm a sucker for lemon/lime so I'm still enjoying it. Good stuff.
