What beer are you drinking now? #4631

Bourbon County '21 Reserve 150 Stout (Stout aged one year in Old Forester 150th Anniversary barrels). Brings intense dark chocolate, cocoa powder, almond, toasted coconut, roasted malt, smooth bourbon spirit, cherry, oak tannin, leather, and molasses. Quite thin, but really smooth. A good variant that has aged nicely, albeit some slight oxidation notes.

And just like that Bob's yer uncle. Let's have a beer. Curiously, I don't like calling this a Witbier but that's what the brewery calls it. It's like 1/2 Hefe 1/2 pale ale leaning far to the ale side. Ignore the label, enjoy the beer. Cheers!

Dammit brewers, no one is making (new) dark beer now that its warm (or distributors ain't putting them on shelves), and I ain't drinking craft Mexican lagers, so I'll drink westies or triple IPAs where I can find them.

I can't wait til end of July where I'll at least see pumpkin beer on the shelves Hooray (new) pumpkin beer!

Emma and I both did some "fluvial walking" in the river ealier this am - when it was "only" in the low 80s....cooling for a time anyway!

 

Plain value for money Dutch pilsener. Can't miss this one whenever in Amsterdam (not highly recommend however).
This week the Nato-summit is going on here in The Hague. Most in walking distance from where I live. Some people complain about closed roads and tense security, but I love to see this. President Trump is staying over at our King's place (palace) tonight. Fun fact: Our king is called 'King of Orange' Of Orange being his family name.

Hidden Hand/More ORI Red IPA. Love me a red IPA. Bready and slight caramel malt balance ripe ruby red grapefruit flesh and peel, floral, and resinous pine. Good stuff.

 

The outdoor Grail must suffice. Allagash Surf Bird Pils. Cheers!!

 

Pipeworks Cloud King APA (Mosaic). Blueberry, diesel, earthiness, yellow grapefruit flesh and peel, pine resin. Damn good.
