Admiring the 10K bottle dings in the schnitzelbank.

 

#2 on the clock ba. Not in love with this but I grabbed two cans. So, it’s going down,

 

1) Luce Line Piedmont (5.1%): A Czech Pils from Minnesota with flavors of lemon, bread with bitter and salty notes.
versus
2) Fair State Pilsner (5.1%): A German Pils from Minnesota with flavors of lemongrass, yeast, and dry flower. Bitter finish. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Luce Line vs Fair State Pilsner Battle. First is Luce Line, a Czech Pils. Bright lemon, bready with bitter and salty notes. Salty, bitter, and robust. An outstanding representation of the Czech style.
Next is Fair State Pils, the GOAT of German Pilsners. Similar, but more hoppy and floral notes.
. Both are outstanding representations of the style. I'm biased toward Fair State given the track record, but Luce Line has a incredible Czech pilsner here.
Winner: Fair State Pils

The head is sooo creamy:



Truth be told, I’m not a Heady fan, but the mouth feel is great on this one…and it’s the only Heady on tap in the country.
