So, we were having a conversation about the perfect drinking experiences. As in the perfect setting to have your favorite drink and thought I'd get some opinions here. I know there's no bad answers and as long as one enjoys it's all good, but trying to see if there are specific themes or trends. So please try to be objective and narrow / specific as possible. Also the answers don't have to be related to each other. Just take every choice as a stand alone. Best time to start: Best Day to drink: Best place to drink: Best activity to do when drinking: Best company to drink with: Best objective for drinking: (Relax, Party, Socialization, destress) Best music: Best Beer: To break this down, I'll start with my own choices and you can add your favorites. Me. 3 PM. Bar's open. The older I get the less I drink even though my head says yes my heart says no, not yet. Current CTA scan says 71 year old fart in good shape and my 17 year old Dacron® tubing that replaced the femoral arteries in my legs. Beer is good, Marlboro's bad. When did you learn it? When I was struggling to walk a 100ft. up the hill to the Mexican resort at Lake Huites and they had to get the pickup to come get me. Good bye cigarettes, Hello craft beer. Tasting something new in IPA gives an old man a thrill. I don't chase them much anymore. The distro to Texas ain't very good. Albertson's is pretty good, Walmart is reliable for Lone Star Longnecks but the liquor stores will have hot good IPAs but already 3 months old so fresher is better even for a lesser beer. Went to the H E B store today for first time today and pleased to find Dale's Double IPA and Deschute's Fresh Haze that wasn't 3 months old. Working on Dale's right now because the last two six packs I bought were too old and yucky malt taste. This fresher Dale's is going down real good right now. Cheers to all and always remember BE SAFE ALL DAY!
