Shanex, you're fortunate: I miss France every day; I was able to take my life savings and visit nine European countries for a month, on my own, December 1986, when I was 17 years old. A life-changing experience I'd hearily recommend to anyone and everyone! Great glass, too!



But, I digress! My two new beers to experience today are my ninth from Blyth, Ontario's Cowbell Brewing Co., their 8% Double Exposure Double IPA (both beers pictured with a poster of Charlie Chan's 1939 mystery adventure, City of Darkness; I love classic movies and collecting poster reproductions of them), and my eleventh from nearby downtown Windsor's Craft Heads Brewing Company, part of their Paczki 4-pack (all 6% ABV) from this past winter, their Custard variant (pictured with Sundae). The project was a collab with Windsor's finest bakery, Blak's Bakery...

Night Food - a “Jamaican-style” export stout at a quaffable 5,6% ABV. Not sure what makes it Jamaican - no string spice coming out - maybe a hint of allspice, but I am searching. Maybe Jamaican coffee? Not sure that should drive even a made-up style.

Oh well, it is pretty good, nonetheless.
