I totally agree, ive had it recently and it is sweeter(off-puting sweetness) than other quality pilsner I've had. Not something I would reach for again.

From last night when BA wouldn't let me in:



Affogato World Wide Stout from Dogfish Head. Four pack of 12 fl oz bottles. Picked up at Chalet Party Shop in Goshen, IN, 15/07/25. $ 42.79 (Including tax)/$ 0.89 per fl oz. Reviewed 16/07/25 (Review 3549).
Final impression and summation: 4.25 Uncredited label artist. One of those rare brews where I can actually detect the vanilla. Add to that expresso and the excellent base of World Wide Stout and it can’t miss.

This, the first of my two new beers for the day, shown with a 1953 photo postcard of American author William Faulkner, is my 4.5% Spéciale Belge Belgian Amber Ale by Scotland, Ontario's outstanding Meuse Brewing...



Incidentally, though there had been many hotter days in this recent heatwave, yesterday's Humidex reached 40 C, or 104 F, and my two new beers of the day simply didn't cut it. I had an extra each from two 4-packs bought last summer, both American beers. I was ready to chuck them after a sip, had they been undrinkable from the age, but I was delightfully surprised how well they maintained. Just felt it was worth noting, although since I've had them before (even earlier this year), they don't count towards my two-new-beers-a-day, 730-different-ones-any-given-year experiment, and are thus apocryphal in nature. Shown with a 1948 picture of American painter Georgie O'Keeffe...



After my annual physical this afternoon, I'll have my 5.7% Main Squeeze Orange Juice Sour, from Toronto's Double Trouble Brewing Co., to experience...Cheers, from McGregor! =)

Hello BAs. What a spectacular day outside here. Running a few last errands for the bottle share this wknd. 52F this morning. Man, I gotta have a brew on the patio right flippin' now because it won't get warm so quickly! @GreenBayBA I'm eyeing a map of your side of town and am Cliff Note-learning some key points like a song I gotta play the next day.
Luce Line Free Agency HIPA 7.3% Super fantastic brews from this brewery. I gotta make a better effort to go there more often as it's so close to my shelter.
There will be 3 of these for the wknd.

Around here - there is a "thing" - it's Christmas in July - several breweries in NE Ohio release their holiday brews in July (Great Lakes and Thirsty Dog in particular)....so, I will play along!
