After a couple vacations in the past few weeks, nice to have a weekend to relax without feeling the need to do something. Unfortunately for the GF, she has things to do this weekend and next. I opted out for the reason just stated

Congratulations, SawDog505 on your remarkable experience! My first today is my second overall gluten-free experience (not for medical reasons; just curiosity), the 5.8% ∄ Gluten Free Saison from Niagara-on-the-Lake's The Exchange Brewery (my third beer overall from them). The smell and mouthfeel are remarkable (perhaps because saisons are my very favourite beer experience), although the flavour is somewhat muted in comparison (if that makes any sense?). I bought it at the bottle shop at Erie St. Gastropub in nearby downtown Windsor (the owner was wary of selling it to me, stating that gluten-free beers generally don't taste very good, because gluten is basically the main component in the mash that contributes to the beer's flavour, but I remained undaunted and vigilant, determined on my quest!)...

It has a very welcome herby, spicy flavour, that despite its subtlety, is very appealing to me. The Exchange Brewery states on the can that it can be aged up to 18 months at cellar temperature, which is remarkable to me...Here, it's first pictured with the third cat-themed bag I bought from the Biblioasis bookstore for my lady when she was feeling particularly low, on the anniversary of the near-fatal car accident she experienced (we actually met at physio; I had been going for seven years, recovering from a near-fatal electrocution; it was love at first sight for each of us, bizarrely--I honestly feel I'm no great catch lol)--the first two bags I displayed in yesterday's post. Again, she never uses them; she simply has them nearby, and likes to see them to realize that someone (and the president of the Responsible Beer Drinking Club, at that!) cares for her deeply. In fact, we're marrying this October 25th (my first--and only--marriage; I got down on one knee, all traditional, gentlemanly; and said, 'Pamela, I love you, and want you by my side forever. Will you marry me?' She looked at me with those eyes that always melt me, smiled and said, yes, and I replied, 'My lady, I'm 54. I'm too old for this shit. Can you help me back up?' =)

Here the fine saison, gluten-free it may be, is shown with Sundae (I nickname her Garbo, for obvious reasons lol)...

Have a great weekend, and cheers from McGregor, Ontario...and the Responsible Beer Drinking Club! =)

This is my second of the day, and my tenth from Hamilton, Ontario's Fairweather Brewing Co.: Their 6.2% High Grade IPA. Very citrusy (especially grapefruit, one of my very favourite flavours), and great mouthfeel. Simply delicious, to be sure. Here, first pictured with Sundae...

...and then, poured, with a variety of Sir Ridley Scott's films. Each Sunday, my lady and I devote to a particularly great film director, and tomorrow is dedicated to the South Shields, England, 87-year-old gentleman...

Harrison Ford may look indifferent, but those aliens and Russell Crowe sure know a fine beer when they see it! Cheers, from McGregor, Ontario! =)

Happy Saturday BA's! Thanks @Peach63 for #4656. Misty morning but quite a beautiful view you got there.

I tasted this a couple times, very clean and well made.

Starting big with a morning cup of 2023 Sierra Nevada Narwhal.

Congratulations! I hope every goes well for you both in McGregor. I was in Forest recently, not far away if I am not mistaken. Not the happiest occasion. I needed an emergency exhaust repair. I took full advantage though. I had some beers at lunch, which I reviewed here, then picked up a local brew for later - Hack 'N' Slash from Stonepicker Brewing. :+1:
