    Thursday hello!

    It hasn’t been a good couple of days. Incidentally was talking sciatica in a thread earlier this week with @tasterschoice62 which fell right on me, hence was under some meds and decided not to mix them up with even few beers. Sciatica, insomnia, fun mix. Not. Anyway drinking Westmalle Tripel:

    I had self diagnosed sciatica in December. Only one other time did I suffer greater pain, dulled in part via morphine in one my one hospital inpatient visit since birth. Started curing the sciatica because I was on hold for two hours with BCBS ILL, and found online on hold walking it off, regardless of pain level, was the best cure. So as usual, never saw a doctor and symptoms gradually went away after a few weeks. Was too painful to bend slightly to put on pants for two days which led to the call. Now facing not having affordable health insurance, which is about as good as my current ACA plan, until reaching 65 between 2027 through the end of May 2034. A plus will be I won’t need to wait on hold for two hours anymore. What a country.

    I’ll carry on with my one beer and zero pils a day regimen that got me this far, this bottle one in twelve secured for $5 plus tax, because annual Chicago shelf turd.

    Sorry about it Jason but you took the right decision at the right time. Glad that it’s over for now for you but at the risk of being pessimistic; sciatica is a lifelong friend. Once you suffered you usually know how to anticipate it via meds or other treatments.

    It sucks just a mysteriously as it came for me, it left a few months later. My back is still hosed, but that is another story

    Sciatica has been put at bay for me by stretching to open up the pelvic area where the nerve routes through. It may not work for you two, but it has been transformative for me.

    Wow. Mine flared up yesterday - like every step is painful and those sharp flare-ups. I'm sure you know the feeling. I never take Tylenol only Aleve - seems to work better and alot less liver interaction. Feel better my friend

    It's excellent.

    Thanks for the advice. I am doing a few things short and long term to mitigate both that issue, and also a back issue which popped up a few times over the past dozen years which resulted in the end of my football (American) playing days in the cops & firemen league. Helps having experience with both, to learn what to do / avoid as best as possible, but also sadly realize things will only get worse with age.

    Still need to exercise more, and eat better, but have improved both since my working days. The lower beer consumption to mostly one a day unless out at a brewery or bar (and then 2-3 vs. the four to several I previously enjoyed) has helped with the weight, and hopefully my liver / other organs. Had to laugh at my 2/3 filled ibuprofen that expired per the bottle a decade earlier (I rarely take anything) after the sciatica attack, but it seemed to work. Still need to replace it, versus my diligence with fresh food and expiring condiments. :slight_smile:

    Best wishes for you and your pain management, and also for your Better Half and Child.

    Recycled pic but I had to grab a Jai Alai to toast the legend Hulk Hogan who passed away today at his Home in Clearwater FL. RIP Hulkster, you are a true legend.

    I'd like a large can of beer please?!
    Oh. Yes! That'll be just dandy. Birches Citra IPA. I'll give it like 3.5 or so. I don't hate it, and it's straightening out my head.
    Located in Long Lake, where the lake is slightly long :nerd: and from the patio and some of the indoor seating you can watch folks boating, skiing, and tubing in the summer. A little pricey but well worth it.
    :beers::whale: cheers!

    Round 2 from this tin. Slightly off style but earns points for being tasty on it's own. F the style on occasion and enjoy the love in the glass.

    Upside dawn athletic with egg,onion and mixed pepper sandwich. Tossed the hot peppers into a hot pan,plume of smoke came up which I inhaled.then I heard POP but was stupid and dint look away and got sauteed hot pepper in the eye.made the next 10 minutes pretty painful. Should have known,I only pretend I'm smart which becomes more obvious everyday[IMG]
