And supposedly the 4-packs are coming in at 25.99... So per ounce, a price DROP over the 16.9 format which is welcome if true.

Just updating with the confirmation of MSRP direct from Goose Island on their Instagram post.

So 0.65 cents per ounce... Compared to 0.83 cents per ounce the last few years for the 16.9's ($13.99/bottle here).

It's been a while, and I may be confusing the pricing for variants and original, but I think that's roughly the same price I paid for 12oz 4-packs when I first bought BCBS in 2014. Compared to the sticker jump when Goose first moved to the 500ml format in 2015, keeping the same price while sacrificing 8oz doesn't feel too bad a decade later.

Yep, I paid $24.99 for the four-pack about 10 years ago.

My last purchase of packaged BCBS was a couple/few years ago and it was a four-pack for $40. I still have one bottle left of that four-pack.

    Cheers!

Back in 2015, when I started hunting BCBS, four cases of OG was all we got for the entire state, and I felt extremely lucky/guilty to bag two bottles. I got in the habit of taking black-Friday off, planning the hunt with a spreadsheet, and reserving bottles where I could. Variants appeared in 2018, and now we have OG and variants year-round, and from multiple years. I still take black-Friday off and plan the hunt, but now the quarry is the harder to get variants, which take some travel. With the 10oz OG doses, I plan to get a couple of fours.

Great news on the price. I feel like the pendulum finally started coming back and they need to lower prices. There's still a store near me with cases of '24 on display. Fingers crossed that the variants aren't outrageously priced

We've got plenty of the '24 original, the '24 Macaroon and the '24 Vanilla Rye available in this area as well as a few '23 original, '23 Bananas Foster and '23 Backyard gathering dust in select stores.

It would be nice to see something other than BCBS from GI’s barrel program these days…

I would love to see them throw some other styles of beer in those nice barrels and release them to the nation.

Bananas was pretty good imo. Can't imagine it's one you want aging at room temp, though

I liked Bourbon County Wheatwine when they had it in 2018 and 2019. They've had Bourbon County English Barleywine several times, but we've never gotten that one here.

I had a 2020 last week with my dad and gotta say it was quite good. Definitely enough time aging to minimize the alcohol/bitterness taste. Neither I nor him can enjoy fresh BCBS they make these days but 5 years of bottle aging makes it real drinkable. He’s got a 2017 bottle too, I’m curious how that will taste.
I know there’s still some 2022 and 2021 bottles on shelves here.

Yes of course. Can’t forget the good ol King Henry days. But they should be doing that every year.

2020 was one of the best vintages. Glad it's still holding up

Really hope they bring the barleywine and coffee variants back and offer them in the same 4 pack format as the OG

We have a crazy distribution issue here where I live, which it totally "fun".

Our local Budweiser distributor doesn't have Goose Island here, it's the Coke distributor that has the brand locally, so we get scraps at best. The only positive is we have a good rep. from the company, so he goes out of his way to get us as much scraps as possible. I am really excited about the 4 pack of the regular, because it is a much easier size for me to drink alone at home.

There will be a lot of drinking of the variants at work on Black Friday because, while the local Bud doesn't have it in the immediate area, they do outside the area, and our reps bring bottles to share with us.

We call it Black Out Friday at work.

Can't believe it but just scored a 2024 Bardstown Cask BCBS bomber at one of the local LFK liquor stores today & there's probably another 8 still on the shelf!

At the original $34.99 price but to discover any store still having it for sale, I don't care!!!

This year's lineup has been announced, and neither is in it. Hopefully next year. I'd like to see the full lineup in the small doses, but it's only OG, at least this year.

Total Wine had the 4-packs priced at $27 today. For a single 10oz they wanted $9, I passed for now.
Didn’t look like they had sold any…
