    Zenzymes Blonde.

As I stated before, this is a brewery that was started by a childhood friend of mine a few years ago and his business is doing well. He’s often on various markets in other towns in the region.

Bentonville Brewing Tactical Possum Pale Ale. A bit of a gusher??? Last one. This was a big hit with our Northern Friends at the Thai Family reunion, I suspect it was the name :stuck_out_tongue:

    G'day all!

I'm sipping on another Bigfoot, 2009 edition. Aged very similarly to the 2010 I had yesterday.

    Prost!

Hello and Happy Sunday, fellow BA'ers: Since my third beer is simply a nip, I'm breaking my usual protocol of two beers-a-day--especially since we have yet another heat advisory and thunderstorm warning, here in McGregor. Ontario. First off the bat, is my first beer from Bury St. Edmunds, England's brewery, Greene King, and their superlative 5% Abbot Ale. I initially gave it 3.75/5, or 75%, upon the first sip, but I might edit my rating and make it 4, perhaps even a 4.25. Here it is, with Gracie...

...and here it is, poured, with the front cover of a recent book on classic movies I received. Since my 2012 near-fatal electrocution, I've stuck to my basics, utilizing my very favourite activities of hiking, music, movies and craft beer to get myself back to my previous 100%, if not even further beyond (I'm blatantly optimistic and ambitious, to be sure!). This was a present last August by my lady Pamela for my 55th birthday: John H. Foote is a famous Canadian film critic, and this is his 2023 book, by London England's Palazzo Editions Ltd., Cinema of the 70's: 101 Iconic Movies...

More to come: Cheers from McGregor, Ontario! =)

My second beer today is the 5% Lupulin Express Pale Ale, my second beer from nearby Kingsville, Ontario's The Grove Brewing Company. I gave this 4/5; it was both very enjoyable and refreshing. I hope to get better at tasting, so I can give a more voracious and emphatic explanation in my explorations. But, it is what it is for the time being: I'm definitely, in every conceivable (and in many an inconceivable!!!) way, a work in progress, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Here's the beer, first with Sundae...

...and here it is, with the book's first filmic exploration, Bob Rafelson's excellent 1970 film, Five Easy Pieces. I was gifted this, as part of a wonderful boxset by The Criterion Collection on blu ray, many moons ago, and it's a most enjoyable film, which boasts one of the absolute finest performances of Jack Nicholson's career, to be sure...

More later...and have a great rest of your day, from McGregor, Ontario! =)

My third and final beer for today is the miniature from Toronto's Halo Brewery, their 5.3% Time Capsule: Batch 01 Barrel Aged Sour Ale (Lemon/Apricot/Lime). I'd give it 4.25/5. One of the three most sour beers I've ever experienced, to be sure. Here it is with a sleeping Gracie...

...and here it is, poured, with an excellent postcard from Georges Franju's 1961 thriller, Spotlight on a Murderer (for no particular reason)...

Tomorrow: My first from Żywiec, Poland's Grupa Żywiec; and my third beer from Munich, Germany's Hacker-Pschorr. Have a great rest of your day, and cheers! =)
