Back at it ba. Bragging rights, dipa, Sand City. No idea on the hop profile but it apparently celebrates their 2nd pinewood derby. Decent but nothing all that great either,

 

Funny story. Yes, I do usually rest them in a small cooler with the meat wrapped in towels. Today, however, I pulled the small cooler out of the pantry and someone not only didn't clean it last time, they sealed it. Science project.
Right now I have them wrapped in foil on a wooden cutting board with 2 kitchen towels on them.
They'll probably stay for 20-30 minutes like that while I roast some yellow calliflour in the oven. Had to post a pic because they look so cool. Wife brought them home today from the farmer's market she runs.

Enjoyed a few more at Gnosis, including their BA Anniversary Stout and their Anniversary IPA. Pictured is their collab with Brothership, BA Mash Ray (15 month barrel aged Imperial Stout with cocoa nib, vanilla bean, roasted peanut, toasted and raw coconut). Insane adjunct presence, getting plenty of all of them. A touch of drying barrel brings some semblance of balance. Dangerously smooth for the 15% abv. World class barrel aged pastry stout. Congrats to Gnosis for 3 years of making amazing beer!


Now at home enjoying a 4 Noses Neigh Sayer TIPA (Simcoe, Citra, Centennial, Mosaic, Nelson) thanks to @Prager62. Ruby red grapefruit flesh and peel, white grape, floral, pomelo, pineapple, resin. Love the fact it's clear and has a malt body that doesn't impede on the hops, but still adds balance. Super drinkable for the abv. Very well done.

Rain had us inside today so I made a batch of my Bolognese sauce.
Drinking a collab Trillium/Belleflower.

 

It's such a beautiful afternoon. One more before dinner. Other Half + Fidens = All-Bany Everything. Almost a month old and the Nelson Sauvin has won the battle of the hops. Did somebody say Nelson, @TheIPAHunter? Surely not, @MacMalt! Cheers!

I know a lot of you have been sweltering in some pretty brutal heat—I get the dispatches from friends and family back east—and I feel for you, I really do. Some of you actually enjoy that kind of weather and to you I say, good on you. But it’s definitely not for me, and it’s especially on days like this when I thank my 22-year-old self for deciding to move to the Northwest right after college. No job? No friends? Nowhere to live? No problem—that all fell into place pretty quickly. And today it’s a pleasant 73 degrees and I can enjoy this tasty, locally brewed imperial stout without having to rely on AC to stave off dehydration and death. Cheers!
