Good afternoon, BAs! I took a power nap after brunch (didn't even finish my KBS). Going to ease back into the realm of the living with a Backwoods Bastard.

Happy Saturday BA's! The wife was in a cooking mood, and it rained early here, so turkey meatballs alfredo for lunch with prosciutto wrapped asparagus, garlic rolls and a Focal Banger.

Another one I’d like to find easily and top tier too. Just curious, S. do you have any vacation plans for this summer, or maybe work related trip? Cheers my friend.

So we've got a place near us called Pepper Palace, and they have all of their sauces - hot sauce, salsa, BBQ, wings - open for samples. They do a buy three get one free, so, naturally, we always get four. Last time, two of the sauces we got are extremely hot, so pretty much I'm the only one using them, which means our less dangerous sauces (still hot!), Uff Da (primarily cayenne and habanero), is running low, so it was time for a replacement.

For our eggs, I went with three of our new ones, plus one from our previous trip, in ascending order of heat:

Black Rose (jalapeño, cayenne, habanero, red pepper; primary additional flavors from garlic and vinegar) (this is our Uff Da replacement)
Chocolate Habanero (smoked chocolate habanero; vinegar and brown sugar) (really delicious, but I'm rarely in the mood for a chocolate hot sauce)
La Diablesse (habanero; vinegar and mustard seed) (mustard-based and delicious)
Scorpion Deathstalker (habanero and scorpion; vinegar, lemon juice, garlic, and tomato paste)

Definitely a habanero-heavy lineup, but ranging from hot to extra hot (they don't list scovilles), and with a huge flavor range (hot and flavorful; hot, slightly smokey, and slightly chocolatey; hot and mustardy; very hot but really flavorful). The hottest one I have from them is Tr3s Diablos, which is habanero, scorpion, and ghost peppers, and not a lot of vinegar and tomato paste to cut it down. They're all really good on their own, so eggs and chicken nuggets are really good pairings.

But then again, I've got an entire refrigerator shelf for nothing but hot sauces, a dozen more that don't fit, and two do-it-yourself kits to make another dozen bottles or so of our own. :grinning:

I might have a problem. :flushed:

Boulevard BBA Tiramisu Stout, 11% ABV. I rated this 3.93 (low for me) last October. Had expected this to be a pastry stout, but there's no sweetness. Imagine tiramisu with no sugar.

Starting my Saturday afternoon of with Real Ale Favorable Conditions IPA. Review over at the NBW thread, like most everything Real Ale does this is very nice.

Reading more of my Ocean Vuong novel and spinning some Keith Jarrett...I believe this was his first solo piano album.
