    This is one of the most exciting whiskey experiences of my life. Last night I was at a bar when I was presented with a bottle of freaking Karuizawa. For those who know Japanese whiskey I don't need to say much more. This is a distillery that closed in 2000, a few years before Japanese whiskey exploded. It's almost a mythical concept to even set your eyes upon a bottle of Karuizawa. This is a Single Malt Karuizawa 15. I'm still speechless and at awe. And yes it tasted amazing.

    I stumbled across a beer fest in front of Asahikawa train station and decided to get a flight from the Taisersu Ji Beer stall. It includes a Pilsner, a doppelbock, a Golden ale and a cherry sour.

    Well. After a week of dog sitting I can finally have a New Breakfast Beer without someone staring at me and judging... Today's selection:

    The Death of Cthulhu (Ghost Cthulhu) from Adroit Theory. Four pack of 16 fl oz cans, ordered from their website 20/05/25, received 02/08/25, $31.88 (Including shipping), $ 0.498/fl oz. Reviewed 10/08/25 (Review 3558). Note that I use DD/MM/YY protocol.
    Final impression and summation: 4 (After deducting 0.25 point for an undated can) Uncredited label artist – too bad because this label is quite intricate. The nose and following flavor are basic RIS – chocolate, dark fruit, hints of smoke – sweetness slowly turning bitter – just a damn good basic RIS.
