[IMG]Enjoying an MC Pilsner on a beautiful summer afternoon in Marshall, NC. It’s good to see the town bounce back from the devastation caused by Helene almost a year ago. If you’re in Asheville, I encourage you to take the short trip north to support some of the small businesses in this beautiful town.

Thanks for the post, always up for a new brewery to visit!
My beer at hand is one acquired while working at the Eighth State Brewing (Greenville, SC) festival last summer. RIP Eighth State.
This is from Wunderkammer Bier from the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont and is called Perfect Red King, a wheat beer fermented with wild yeast and brewed with Sumac. At 5.4 % abv this is very refreshing with a sweet tart candy flavor. There were a handful of festival goers that were very happy to seeing Wunderkammer being poured.
    Cheers!

Trying to clear out the ones in my cellar and beer fridge that should have been consumed a while ago. This one had a best by date of last May.
    Oops.

Still quite tasty, but makes me curious what it tastes like fresh.
Oh, and the natural flavors are basically chai spices. The cloves are most prominent, but the other flavors are there too.
    Cheers!

Nice to hear things went well for Bean, and celebrating with a beer is great but I'm guessing it wouldn't be hard to get you to celebrate something like no ice one the water yet @BeerVikingSailor so you can take one of those beautiful boats out.

Finally broke down and started the cascade of Autumnal beers…..although it’s 93* with a heat advisory locally. First impression is favorable, but a bit less carbonated and less malty for the style. Cheers!![IMG]

    1) Fair State Side Pull (4.1%): A Czech Pale lager from Minnesota with flavors of pale bread malty, yeast, light salty notes. Light and clean.
    versus
    2) Fair State Pilsner (5.1%): A German Pilsner from Minnesota with flavors of lemongrass, yeast, and dry flower. (Correctly matched the two blind)

Fair State Lager Battle. First is Fair State Side Pull. A Czech Pale Lager, light yeast, salt, and lemon, Incredible carbonation and soft. Amazing lager.
Next is their German Pilsner. The gold-standard for a German Pils. Similar, but more hoppy lemon sweetness and bitterness. Hard call but German Pils wins here.
    Winner: Fair State Pils
