Bad beer night. Finally got the courage to open Gotlandstricka and the heavy Juniper just isn't my style at all. So I decided to pop a Small Batch #4...and behold my first sour one. It's like a Smoked Funk Metal...and compared to the Gotland it's strangely drinkable.

    Goodbye $20

Picked up my warm, fresh-from-the-truck bottle this morning. Along with some Ruthless Rye and some more Sucks.

FW doesn't even have Sucks nor Victory yet.

    Yea for no beer!

I usually go to Halls for the "hard to find anywhere elsewhere" bombers. I can't recall, but do they allow you to do mixed six pack?

The 2 places I know that allow mixed six packs are Total Wine and The Bottle Shop on Lower Greenville if you're looking for that.

Thanks. I live and work in Tarrant County so I usually go to Central Market in FTW or Beer & Wine World in Mansfield for my mixed sixers.

They're all 3 worthy of purchasing the entire pack if you're into the style of brew. Temptress, in my opinion, is now the best stout made in Texas.

Am i wrong in remembering ruthless rye being more bitter last year?

I found it pretty unpleasant fresh last year, so I aged a bottle about 6-8 months, and it made a world of difference.

Exactly my thoughts...it tastes like an aged version of last year's. still like it, but i enjoy that unpleasantness.
