Catch up from last night...my buddy Thomas is a great jazz bass player, and he put together a band to play an all Bill Evans remembrance band So yeah I was there for the entire set. Which was over 4 hours ha. They played till midnight, and it was great.

It was at a new live music space that has food and booze, called Echoes.

The octopus was awesome, they have more of a European style menu, this was great. With a Real Ale Devils Backbone Belgian Tripel.



Then, a couple of dry Martinis, not shown, with the band the rest of the night...



I'll definitely be coming back

Ahoy mates! Lawn Chop time here. With all the rain, 6 days and the grass is ready. Not like 2014 which was disastrously wet. <> Pumped to try a new to me local brew:
Falling Knife Sömmersend Märzen w Munich, Vienna and Pilsner malts. 6%. Canned Aug 7, '25. The first time I tried a brew from these folks I didn't really like it but they've become very popular here over the yrs and have good distro. I see their beers on tap frequently. esp Verbal Tip IPA
I'll enjoy this early Märzen with you while the heavy dew dries a bit.

@beergoot - from your comment on my post yesterday - cool that you will be hiking at Mohican State Park next weekend when you will be around - that swinging bridge over the Clear Fork (Hemlock Grove trail - hiked it numerous times this spring, during the wildflower explosion!) opened after being re-built in May 2021....so not that "new" really!
Also, you mentioned it was a neat "little park" - it is actually one of the bigger State Parks in Ohio, at 1110 acres, surrounded by the much larger 4525 acre Mohican State Forest....it has been one of my favorite places to hike and fly fish for many decades! The new Mohican Visitor Center just opened in July, at the Class 1 campground entrance off Rt 3....
