Having gone to the Carlsbad and Ocean Beach outposts (Pizza Port), I'm not sure I'd go any place else if there was an outpost near me. Good beer selection, above average food, great atmosphere and vibe... it's really pretty hard to beat.

    This. ^^^^

There are a handful of local beers bars that I'll cycle through on the regular. The fact that they have a chill atmosphere and good food is massively redeeming. Feel the same way when I travel. If I can find one or two beer bars with a solid beer menu and good food, I'm happy. Basically just looking to relax and have a beer these days. No need to find limited releases or whales.

Agreed. Beer is never the sole reason that I travel, but I considered it wherever I go. Just nice to have good to great beer when you're on holiday.

Probably the diametric opposite. Not that I won't have beers at home, but it's a rarity. Usually a quick one or two before heading out. Just because I work a lot and am almost never home long enough to relax and actually enjoy a pint or two. It happens, but not terribly often.

I travel for work more weeks of the year than I don't. Home makes up a fairly small portion of overall, between shares with friends and being too tired to go out. 95% is probably an exaggeration but it feels that way sometimes. These days I probably have way more beer when traveling given the social stuff and not wanting to sit in a hotel room working boring late nights.

Let's see . . . go out and drink awesome beers in attractive environs or stay at the hotel and work into the wee hours? Tough one.

It's certainly a perk of the job and I've gotten to try some pretty killer spots on the company dime. Side Project, Toppling Goliath (OG), Jester King, The Veil, Other Half (OG), Great Notion (OG) are a handful that come to mind. Not to mention the main office I visit is two miles from Toronado.
