Belgium and the Netherlands are the only places where you can buy Westvleteren outside the black-market. The official prices are still about double compared to what you pay when you are lucky enough to get an opportunity to buy at the Abbey

 

It explains the migraine I had recently.

I don't want to harm the brand by the way. Just one won't hurt I guess All Euro lager can be tricky 'value for money' beer in the way of alc by vol.

Thanks for your response Larry. The Wormtown mixed pack looks right up my alley for home base in Pittsfield. We will be on the road for hiking, regular tourism and beer tourism across the state/region.

Checking out an interesting IPA from Edmunds Oast from Charleston, SC and Pretty Decent from London that unfortunately is too sweet (which i kind of thought would happen). Very tropical and citrus oriented, imagine a juice box with coconut and vanilla added. There are nice qualities to this beer, but the lack of bitterness makes this less than good. I primarily picked it up as i find Edmunds Oast consistently good but and the price was nice...
@Dethark it looks like you had a go a few summers ago with Pretty Decent. Thought i would ping ya as an FYI.

We drove up from the Shore this morning. Easy ride for us but the southbound traffic was already horrific. I'm glad we won't be dealing with it on Monday. Beautiful afternoon - I'm actually wearing a sweater. Autodidact + Other Half = Slurpin' Spaghetti. Canned 2 weeks ago it is drinking the best yet. Too bad I only have 1 can left.
