What beer are you drinking now? #4698

Happy long weekend! Today's first choice is from Cellarest Beer Project in West Asheville called Finesse Pilsette. It weighs in at 3.2%. It is made with Cumberland pilsner from Riverbend & Great Chit malt. Hopped delicately with Styrian Golding, Citra, Mosaic & Galaxy. Fermented inside our acacia wood foudre.

Picked up a 16 oz can from the taproom cooler 8-4-25 for $5.25. No canning date but it appears it was packaged in late July; consumed for review 8-30-25. Cold stored since purchase.

Beer poured clear gold with a nice fizzy white head.

Nose is giving me a nice touch of floral and citrus hops.

Taste is a very light pale malt that brings some saltine cracker flavor. Hopping brings a very light touch of orange and passion fruit. Back-end spicing gives me a nice touch of pine and pepper bitterness: 6/10 on my scale.

Mouthfeel is light and very refreshing, yet soft and smooth.

Overall, this is a lovely refreshing and flavorful brew that hits the spot after working in the yard earlier.

@thehyperduck Nice pour with the matching glass! I haven't had the White Picket Fence for a long time. Glad to hear it's still good.

Onto round 2, the Abbey Ale from Ommegang. I generally try to semi-clear the palate between rounds, but the licorice root is really standing out today.

This is one of Kettlehead’s Dank brews brewed with terpes part of the cannabis flower. I feel they need to dial it back with using them, but I don’t hate them either. @LarryV movie afternoon and enjoying this also. Hard hitting.

 

Hard to pass on it when it's typically the freshest and arguably one of the best available in my neck of the woods

Edit: $20/12pk doesn't hurt either

Having a Tilted Barn Moonstone American IPA. This is very good!

 

Can't get the imgur link to work. So far I've enjoyed a Hacker Pschorr Marzen and am currently enjoying a Weihenstephaner Festbier. Both are really good beers but neither are elite by any means. Currently I've only dosed 10 mg of THC but I do believe that I will soon up that and dose another 10. In my fridge are an Ayinger Marzen, Stone IPA, Elysian Pumpkin Ale, and Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest. I wish I would've picked up something dark and rich like a founders KBS but I only saw the iced latte flavor at total wine. Might have to walk down to Publix at halftime and pickup a four pack and maybe even some darts. What're you drinking today?
