Good News / Bad News "Good News. We're going to hire you to taste beer!" "Great! What's the bad news?" "We're Molson Coors and you'll be tasting our beers."
I wonder what would happen if she actually drank a real beer, like a Bigfoot barleywine? She'd probably blow out her taste perception to all of the "subtle nuances" in her Miller Lite. Still, sub par beer or not, I wouldn't mind getting paid to drink beer. At least Coor's Banquet is tolerable. Probably the best she's got?
Props to her. Working to be a top taster in the beer industry is difficult. She's exhibiting a skillset that many here could only hope to possess. My suspicion is anyone complaining about having drink what she drinks has not taken off-flavor course training (or more less, repeated it to perform at a high level consistently.) Performing flavor analysis at a high level is an astute skill and I'll give props where props are due. It does not mean she can't enjoy a craft beer on the side, and more so, would probably find issue with many craft beers (or draft systems) that measly casuals would miss.
Finally a good answer. She also prolly doesn't swallow , which as terrible as that is for her husband, probably makes it a tolerable job.
