Good day BAs! Thanks @Shanex for opening the bar. Another chilly morning but still no frost - picked the first round of gong bao peppers (my son is using them in some pickling) and the first crop of ornamental peppers are drying before being ground for seasoning. My birdseye peppers are still green, but I started the plants from seeds a bit late, so I'll probably not get much of a harvest from them.

Today's New breakfast Beer:



Inner Dragon from Arvon Brewing. 16 fl oz can picked up at Horrocks Market, Grand Rapids, MI, 23/08/25 - $ 6.02 (including tax and deposit)/$ 0.370/fl oz. Reviewed 19/09/25, review 3591.
Final impression and summation: 4 (After deducting 0.25 point for an undated can) Credited art work – two beers in a row! Good rye-based beer – the centennial and chinook hops shine with a balanced grapefruit aroma and flavor, but with slight bitterness – works well with the rye.

This is a very nice complex brew.

 

Good morning BAs! Drove up into the mountains this rainy morning and hiked up to Mahon falls (the second tallest in Ireland?). Now back at the hotel bar recovering from the driving with a 1/2 & 1/2 left and a Granville Hotel Session IPA right:



The IPA is brewed for the hotel by O’Hara’s. Spicy lemon. Not bad for a watery session. A good lawnmower beer for sure.

Rain forecast all day. We will probably visit the Medieval Museum then hit some pubs nearby. Cheers from Waterford, Ireland, and have a great day y’all!

Despite the shocking glassware it's a very nice pint of Lowenbrau Original over my local with is a Marston's pub so usually has awful beer on. Cheers!

Picked this up yesterday, while on a visit to an amazing beer store in Cleveland area (Mack's - if you know, you know!)...a pumpkin IPA - pretty nice stuff!
