To-go over the bar would imply that they have an incredible amount of this.

Huh, based on the updated blog looks like the 3 Fonteinen collab isn't releasing next week now

I'm glad someone else noticed. I could have swore I saw it as the Friday release.

It absolutely was, and then they added the non-BA stout as well as a second release on that day. It no longer being listed is pretty new.

Wow, this is tasting so much better than upon initial release. Not that it was bad but this is in a great spot right now. Better than the v19 I had the other night even though v19 fresh was much better than v20. Drink ‘em if you got ‘em.

    Anyone had a v22 lately?

Haven't had OF, but I popped Tete 2020 last Saturday and that was also drinking quite nicely.

That’s probably next. You sit on them too long and they turn a little vinegary… which was kind of the case with OF v19. Although with a little time in the glass and the cap off of the bottle it got a little better. Still not as good as I know it could be/was.

I get that storage space costs money but I just can't see myself ever paying a 50% or more markup for beer that was probably better 4 years ago

    I know - 58% markup is wild.

    100% with you.

Boom got 12! Thank you no limit

Just kidding, they probably only had 12 cuz I got snubbed. 95 is pretty crazy

It’s just called gauging. The increase in vintage bottles started, what, a few years ago with the LC parties I think? They didn’t store them specifically to sell later at a markup, they just started doing it. A true LC perk that I think a lot of people would value would be if they did these sales for LC every so often, but with a $5 markup on 375s, and $10 on 750s. Or $5 on anything that was public and $10 on anything that was LC only. That would increase the number of beers you can (hypothetically) buy from the membership, without them having to actually provide more new beers to LC directly. I know many would look at it as no benefit, because sometimes they only sell like 3, but I think a lot of people would appreciate it, and it would certainly feel like they are trying to provide some good will.

Yeah had to say no thank you on that. $95 for a 5 year old beer ain’t on my bingo card.

It sold out in a minute, so honestly, in terms of pure economics, they didn't price it high enough.

I also scoff at these prices, but at least the creators of the beer are getting more of a profit than the secondary market.

Amburana is the only real question mark for me… hopefully it imparts subtle flavor and doesn’t ruin an otherwise great beer. I feel like amburana beers are hit or miss.
