My local corner store - which has on its facade big letters spelling out ‘Craft Beer,’ really sucks at craft beer. They basically only have two coolers of generic local stuff. And with that, a lot of it is outdated. No shit. I checked a Chief Peak Topa Topa today and it was canned on 1/24/24. No foolin’! Hella old! Well, at least this fresh one just came in:

 

Good morning BAs! Drove to Kilkenny this morning and visited the Castle and rose garden, then walked about town. Now in the Bread and Beer having a full Irish breakfast and a Galway Bay Brewery “Full Sail”
IPA:



Drinks like a pale ale (5.8%) but tastes very good - earthy mild bitter lemony hops. Watery but I’d drink again.

Octoberfest from Old Nation Brewing. 16 fl oz can picked up at Siciliano’s, Grand Rapids, MI, 23/08/25 - $ 3.80 (including tax and deposit)/$ 0.24/fl oz. Reviewed 20/09/25, review 3592.
Final impression and summation: 4.25 Uncredited art work. Crisp, slightly sweet Märzen, very typical of the style. Fruit fly approved.

6% English IPA. Great stuff.
