Cory did blame BA capacity limits partially on adjuncts, and neither of those beers have adjuncts. Likewise, it seems like SP has had a lot of BBT in the past few releases (please continue this!)

Anyone know how much beer volume is lost to adjuncts? And if so, what adjuncts cause the largest losses in packageable beer?

Seems like you always hear about big losses when using coconut.

Sounds like the solution is more non adjunct beers. No complaints here

You know that if it were 1 per for LC, people would have bitched about that. "Oh it is no limit for public, but I pay $250 for a membership and I only get one?". Tell me I'm wrong

I can't say anything definitively because I don't know every LC member but I suspect you are wrong. I think most people would have been pleased with the opportunity to get the beer

You're wrong. At least for me. I've come to the realization that I'm LONG passed needing multiples of any of this shit. More often than not, I don't need it at all. Especially with the cost of seemingly everything in life going up. Besides, $70 gets me a real nice bottle of bourbon.

This is the way I feel. Been drinking more bourbon than beer lately. $70 and it lasts me months. Also I’m to the point where if it’s not barrel aged or if it has more than one or two adjuncts I don’t really want to purchase it. Wish they would put some 4 packs of juicy ass IPAs in the LC store. Would love to see them do a Porter or a brown ale or something in some 12oz cans too

Juice Grove available in the online public store. Nothing like a pour of bourbon followed by an IPA!

And to clarify a bit, I'm not just dumping on SP here. This really applies to most breweries and releases for me at this point.

I think you and Speyeke are both right...He indicated that if limits were placed we'd still complain that we only were able to buy one, which I believe to be true since all LC's believe their membership should entitle them to more. SP doesn't see it that way and prefaced that with this years membership. Basically "you get what you get and you don't get upset", which is something I said to my children when they were small.
Flatlander makes a good point too. How many duplicates do you actually need when the prices are so high and your $$ could go so much further with the brown stuff?

I'm sure there'd have been a person or two that was upset if limits were one. You can't get 100% of people to think the same way about anything. I definitely believe that, by and large, there'd have been less complaining if there was a 1 bottle limit vs how they did it given the limited supply. And I say this knowing that my normal proxy being able to grab me one in the online sale is likely the only reason I got one, because I was driving and didn't see the email until 40 minutes later.

The whole "we'll give beers to LC if we have enough for each of them" messaging really rings hollow when you sell to the public in unlimited quantities beforehand, i.e. you had enough for LC to get 1 each.

LC, or memberships in general, always ring me as a secure way to access something - not in unlimited quantities, but be able to acquire it. I would be a little peeved if a brewery I was a member of sold to the public first, then gave me the scraps.

They have said this from the start. Including when LC got everything and had numerous exclusive bottles.

I’m not a member but I think if you’re a member you should be entitled to every release offered by the brewery in question during the year. If the batch is too small for even 1 half-sized bottle for each member, then your membership count is too high. SP is trying to have their cake (massive membership and related revenues) and eat it too (hold back supply to drive in-person demand). As long as the free market allows for it, then there is no incentive for them to change it, but it’s a crappy membership to be in from where I sit.
