Your driver's license "real ID" is for air travel in the states, or whatever you use your DL for. You'll need the passport to enter other countries and return to the US. You can use your passport as ID in the states, but DL's are more commonly used.

Happy Wednesday ba. Back on my normal day off w/ shit to do so you knows how I do. Woke up to a 30 degree temperature drop from yesterday afternoon. Guess fall has fully arrived.

into it w/ The crypt-kicker five, imperial pumpkin ale, sand city. Dry pumpkin flavor w/ a good mix of subtle spice notes. The 9% abv helps as well. This, and night owl are my favorites so far,

Good day BAs! Thanks @ChicagoJ for opening the bar. About 12 years ago I had to go to a QA seminar (For that month's flavor of QA) in FL. Checking in at the hotel, the desk clerk asked me for ID, so I handed her my passport. She wouldn't accept it - she HAD to have a driver's license. Good thing I can legally drive! Passports - good all over the planet except Florida.

Final impression and summation: 3.75 (After deducting 0.25 point for an undated container) Uncredited art work. Nicely balanced bitterness vs sweetness – good flavor.

It's another beautiful day out here in McGregor, to start things off for October on the right foot, for sure. The cats could only show off one of my new beers for today, since I had one at the Monthly Dinner Group Outing, to accompany my calzone, and a flight of four new mini-beers, with The Responsible Beer Drinking Club, to round things off...

First, with Gracie, it's my fourth brew from Toronto, Ontario's Lost Craft Inc.--their 6% Coastal Wave IPA...



In nearby Windsor, I have founded both the Monthly Dinner Outing Group and The Responsible Beer Drinking Club (each since August 2016!): I was disappointed with the beer selection at the Monthly Dinner Group outing at Terra Cotta Gourmet Pizzeria (and almost had red wine instead!), since there was only one beer listed that I hadn't previously tasted. But I still enjoyed the 5% Cream Ale, from Guelph, Ontario's Sleeman Breweries Ltd....

Later, we had an outing of The Responsible Beer Drinking Club, at one of our usual haunts, Erie St. Gastropub, and thankfully, I was able to have a flight of the four newest creations of Erie St. Brewery (my eleventh through fourteenth, since they started brewing this past May)...

The first two from the flight are: Their 4.7% Fuzzy Peach Wheat...



...and the 6.2% GnIPA 2.0...

The last two from the Erie Street Gastropub flight are: the 6.4% Vicky's Little Sister New England IPA...



...and their 5.6% Nitro Primrose Porter. An exquisite augmentation to my beer-tasting regimen, to be sure (It should be noted that, until October 20th, $1 from each pint sold of either the GnIPA 2.0 and the Nitro Primrose Porter will be split and given to two local charities: "Downtown Windsor Community Collaborative" and "The McDowell Family".)...



As is my custom, for no particular reason, the beers I have each day, at my lady Pamela's house, are shown with an article of a 'darn fine movie': Today, the Coastal Wave IPA is shown with an article on Dustin Hoffman's breakout film, The Graduate...

Tomorrow: Three more new beers to experience, from, most likely, the following breweries:
--Manitoulin Brewing (Little Current, Ontario; my third of their handiworks);
--MacLean's Ales Inc. (Thornbury, Ontario; my second); and
--Nita Beer Company (Ottawa, Ontario; my second)...

I love Gil Scott-Heron's work so much, especially his more jazzy work with Brian Jackson...

Also, I'm looking forward to enjoying my Paulaner Oktoberfest beer; it's not the Marzen though...Cheers! =)

 

GSH is awesome.. not familiar with Brian Jackson.. I'll check it out!

Paulaner Festbier? I picked than one up as well. This Märzen is tasting great. Excellent malt flavors without the sweetness.. nice dry finish. I could easily buy a 6pack of this offering.
