Really enjoying your trip report through England and now Brussels @Resistance88 .

Still in my late night awake mode here. Pulled a banger from November 1, 2024, and praying both for sustained peace beyond our borders, and within our borders including a speedy recovery for Woodlawn Chicagoan Pastor David Black.

Good day BAs! Thanks @Resistance88 for opening the bar! And @micada - yep, that's the one - my first stop in a couple of years.

    Today's New Breakfast Beer:

Summer Sue from Toppling Goliath. Single 12 fl oz can picked up at unknown location within the last two months for an unknown price. Reviewed 09/10/25, review 3607.
Final impression and summation: 3.5 Uncredited art work. In general, an unremarkable beer to my taste, perhaps because I was expecting an IPA – I thought the style listing “Belgian Blonde” was a mistake, but now I see it. One and done.
    Rating 3.41, rDev -10.5%

Met up with a BA fro Germany for an IP drop off...hauled some things across the pond for him.
He brought some Altbier to enjoy in the steps of the Cologne Cathedral

Brought him Bottle Logic State of Enlightenment and T-Minus Midnight, BCBS Vanilla Rye, North Park Hop Fu, 2x Pliny the Elder (bottled 9/16) , HpB Competition IPA and Timbo Pils.
    Hope he enjoys them!
I got some amazing stuff from him as well i will post in the haul thread.
This beer community is a trip!

Drekker/Ārpus collab Drekkerfest 11th anniversary Cirque Du Swerve The Contortionist Raspberry Fruited Sour, 6.3% ABV. Pours moderately thick and murky red with a one-finger light-red head that left puree residue. Aroma is incredible raspberry/strawberry and marshmallow/vanilla. Taste is strong berry, slight vanilla, quite sweet, equally tart. Decent thick and smooth mouthfeel, a bit over-carbonated. Overall outstanding.

I read that you should start your day with fruit. Home due to the government shutdown, but getting some procrastinated things done.

Good morning BAs! Kitchen chores done, it’s coffee time - Mortalis’ “Azreal”:

Finishing off last night’s can. I believe this was canned 8/20/25. Poured at 50°. Sweet chocolate and granola. A bit thin for 10%

Another hot and humid morning/day on tap. Not sure what is on the agenda…maybe stay inside where it is cool. Cheers and have a great day y’all!

Very chilly this morning, out here in McGregor--but otherwise, it's wonderful weather. My lady Pamela's cats are feeling the nippiness in the air, and are snuggling up to us more, as we sleep or do our thing. Gracie was the only one interested in my three new brews for today--Sundae was too busy napping to be even mildly enthused. First, it was my fourth of the wares from Saint John, New Brunswick's Moosehead Breweries Limited--their 5% Canadian Lager...

It's shown, poured, with an article on my very favourite of Alfred Hitchcock's films, Notorious...

Next, it was my fourth brew from Orleans, Ontario's Orleans Brewing Company, or OBC--their 6% Juicy McMadness New England IPA...

Finally for today, my seventh beer from Toronto, Ontario's Rorschach Brewing Co.--their 7% Affogato Chocolate Milk Stout, from their Decadence series...

All three beers are also shown bookending an article on the 1940's British tearjerker, Brief Encounter, for no apparent reason...

Tomorrow: Three new beers for me to explore, from the following breweries:
    --Muskoka Brewery (Bracebridge, Ontario; my sixth beer from there);
--Railway City Brewing (St. Thomas, Ontario; my seventh); and
--Rose City Beer Works (Windsor, Ontario; my twelfth)...

Have a great rest of your day...and congratulations to the Toronto Blue Jays! We knew you could do it--and right in Yankee Stadium, to boot! Now, that's classy and sassy!

Cheers...from The Responsible Beer Drinking Club! =)
