Side Project Brewing (2025)

For those of you in the area that have been to the most recent garage releases, how bad should I be planning on that being on Sat the 18th? Limited amount of time in town, was hoping not to spend it in line all day. Would like to visit the cellar a little, hit up Modern and 2nd Shift, etc. Just curious if it has still generally been crazy.

 

The first version was great.

 

Looks like BBT25 is a 3-bottle package with Tete v24 and a 375mL of RBBT 2025.

 

That's a $160 package right there.

 

Nobody can really weigh in on this since it’s in the middle of the day as opposed to open and between both LC parties.

 

If tradition holds LC should get a solo BBT but dammit if that is the only way to get a rye BBT.

 

Was thinking the same thing re: Rye BBT.

 

Last year's BBT was probably about peak package for me - all malty beers. But I'm honestly pretty happy with this one. I love BBT and Rye BBT, and Tete is maybe one of two farmhouses I like to buy.

Only downside is having 375mL of rye, but it seems like SP has expressed the lack of rye barrels available compared to other whiskies. Guess we'll see how many packages are available.

 

I am certain there will be plenty. And if The Blend packaged with OF can sit then so can this..

I hope they give us a crack at BBT before public sale!

 

Probably $164 after tax.

 

My mind still thinks of SP sales in terms of 2019 sell out speed, even though that hasn't been the reality for awhile. But I also can't help but wonder if, at some point, they'll adjust batch sizes to release more new beers via the same quantity of barrels and restore some rarity hype by having smaller releases. Though it won't ever be 2017 levels.

Check how much thoughtfulness was included. That costs extra… gotta be the difference.

 

I'm guessing they will. I'm hoping for a crack at Shin Shin too...Maybe we'll get a surprise email on Tuesday with a 1pp offer.

 

I wouldn’t hold my breath on Shin. The best and most exclusive bottles tend not to go to LC.

 

Maybe they’ll switch it up and only give the option for a single bottle of tete, that would be a fun curveball. Then a week late drop rye bbt no limit

Keep LC on their toes!

 

Or no limit, get those fingers ready and prepare for an unproductive day

 

I'm not...I'm resigned to the mercy of the secondary market for me to get one.
