Fun morning race at the local 10k. Great, popular event and I'll be back next year.

I'm sure not fast... but fluked a 2nd place finish in my division for an Age Group award.

Earned myself a loaf of Pumpkin Bread haha!!




Ended up drinking an even 10 Urqs last night in preparation for 10 kilometers!

Half marathon up next in a couple weeks. I will not be drinking 13.1 beers the night prior.

And that leaves 14 of these badboys for today! Time to get cracking...

Hello, fellow BA'ers! Today, it's cool, but still wondrously beautiful, out here in McGregor. Both cats slept soundly--and were more than happy to help me check out my three new beers for today: First, it's my fourth brew from Cobden, Ontario's Whitewater Brewing Co.--their 6.5% White Faced Monster Canadian Hazy IPA. It's shown, poured, with articles on the cult classics The Conversation (Francis Ford Coppola, 1974), Cutter's Way (Ivan Passer, 1981), Das Boot (Wolfgang Petersen, 1981) and The Day of the Locust (John Schlesinger, 1975), for no discernible reason...



Next, from Hamilton, Ontario's Clifford Brewing Co.--it's my third of theirs; their 5.2% Dark Streets of London Extra Special Bitter...

Finally for today, from Couchiching Craft Brewing Co. of Orillia, Ontario--it's my second of their handiworks; their 5.3% Mariposa Marzen. It's with articles on the cult classics Duel (Steven Spielberg, 1971), Hells Angels on Wheels (Richard Rush, 1967), The Hill (Sidney Lumet, 1965) and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (Shane Black, 2005), for no particular reason...



Today, I added a fourth brew, since it's the weekend and all (and still with complete responsibility lol)--my eleventh beer from Blyth, Ontario's Cowbell Brewing Co.: Their 4% Oatmeal Vanilla Black Lager. It's pictured with articles on the cult classics Le Samourai (Jean-Pierre Melville, 1967), Manhunter (Michael Mann, 1986), The Manchurian Candidate (John Frankenheimer, 1962) and La Femme Nikita (Luc Besson, 1990)--because all four of them are simply great films...



Tomorrow: Three more new beers, worthy of both my consumption and reflection, from the following breweries:
--Amsterdam Brewing Company (Toronto, Ontario; my fifth of their handiworks);
--Craft Heads Brewing Company (Windsor, Ontario; my thirteenth); and
--Kronenbourg Brewery (Obernai, France; my second)...
