Slow-turning Pages

    This is all above my pay grade.

    I’ve started noticing a bit of a lag in loading the site, following this thread. Confirmation bias? Or just internet magic?

    I’m having lots of issues today also. Slow page turning, or links just totally unresponsive (click them and nothing happens).

    Chrome browser on iOS.

    Hard closing the app then reloading seems to help a little bit, but then problem comes back.

    No reports of issues on the server side of things. No unusual traffic. Nothing in the error logs. Site is very responsive here in Finland, but I've been having issues with some other sites that I frequent for the last day or so.

    I was having pages not load until a few refreshes the past few days, it's a little better now.

    Yep. Just tried to click back to the home page from here (via the graphic in top corner); got the black page and stalled progress bar at half way.

    The good news is, I can click my back button and I'm right back where I started with no lag.

    I can usually start over and get the expected response. Just annoying that it takes double jumps to get to where I want to go.

    Cloudflare is reporting degraded service and that "some customers were experiencing aborted requests and elevated level of errors in impacted regions" across their network, which explains why the site is fine for most, but not for others.

    I think I was one of the first reporting issues to you in private three good days before papagoose started this. Lasted roughly four days for me; experiencing long lasting loads and happening rather randomly (work / doesn’t work within an hour)…

    Guess I've been lucky in that I've experienced none of the aforementioned issues on my old Windows 10 desktop with my average-speed interwebs connection, older modem and router.

    It's been quite bad on my end for a while now (and continues to be), regardless of browser or machine.

    I am experiencing the random performance thing to. No issues with any other websites, just BA.

    Forgot to mention in my above post any issues has been gone since the beginning of this weekend but it got irritating for a while.

    And yeah, anything else on the Internet was pretty functional during the BA issue.

    Yeah I've been seeing it again as I was going to rate a beer, but seems like everyone who can help is aware. BA is usually my internet stability/speed test, so I figured I'd chime in since it was unusually unresponsive.

    Yeah. I do believe that Cloudflare is the issue. Not the site.

    Just woke up, but I'm looking into mitigating the issue by tweaking some settings and rules.

    I've also identified significant spikes in traffic from Trinidad and Tobago, the Dominican Republic, Barbados, and the Bahamas. Security rules have been applied and the spikes immediately dropped to nothing.

    Thanks, Todd. I just went through my normal morning routine browsing the site and had only a couple slow-turns, where previously it might have been 6-8, so things appear to be improved.

    EDIT: I stand corrected. I just went thru a thread that has 37 pages and I got hung 7 times. It's 10-15 seconds each time.

    What thread? If it's a thread with a ton of 3rd party embeds (pics, videos), then that's completely out of my hands.

    It’s site-wide. Experienced on this thread, home page, at login. Feels like load times switch between half minute and immediate. It’s ongoing.
