I was beat yesterday so crashed in the afternoon. Having my lunch up the past five hours with this selection.

Drekker Music & Pageantry West Coast DIPA, 7.7% ABV. Pours golden, with a two-finger white head that lift slight lacing. Aroma is flowers and dark fruit. Taste is citrus and pine, slightly sweet, moderately bitter. Decent mouthfeel, if a smidge over-carbonated. Overall very good to excellent adjacent. Surprisingly low bitterness for a West Coast DIPA.

It's another beautiful autumn day, out here in McGregor, and although Gracie threw up her breakfast (she always eats too fast, the poor girl lol), both she and Sundae were more than curious about my three new beers for today: First, my fourth brew from Hamilton, Ontario's Clifford Brewing Co.--their 6.4% Artificial Paradise IPA (shown, poured, with articles on the cult classics They Live [John Carpenter, 1988]; The Thing with Two Heads [Lee Frost, 1972]; THX 1138 [George Lucas, 1971]; and Tron [Steven Lisberger, 1982], for purely nefarious purposes)...



Next, it's my fourth of Heineken's products, from Zoeterwoude, Netherlands--their 4% Silver...

Finally for today, it's my seventh beer from Toronto, Ontario's Henderson Brewing Co. (the company that makes the beers for the legendary Canadian band Rush)--their 4.8% Food Truck Lagered Blonde...

All three beers are also shown bookending articles on the cult classics Stalker (Andrei Tarkovsky, 1979) and Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (Nicholas Meyer, 1982), for purely abstract reasons...



Tomorrow: Three more new brews worthy of my thoughtful and deliberate consideration, from the following breweries:
--Frank Brewing Co. (Tecumseh, Ontario; my ninth of their wares);
--Holsten-Brauerei AG (Altona-Nord, Germany; my third); and
--Left Field Brewery (Toronto, Ontario; my sixth)...

Double Barrel Darkness from Surly. Delicious!!

 

Drekker Leisure Suits & Laser Beams Czech Amber Lager, 5.2% ABV. Pours pitch-brownish with a two-finger beige persistent head that left foamy lacing. Aroma is sweet and roasty chocolate malt. Taste is roasty malt with moderate hop bitterness, lightly sweet. Decent mouthfeel, overall excellent.
