Tonight’s closer just happens to be this thread’s opener. Haven’t had a Ninkasi in quite a while.

Maredsous Blonde. Cheers on this absolutely gloomy day here:

If some of you are curious as to what a knee replacement surgery and the X-Ray two months later looks like… here you go. Excellent work from the surgeon according to my physical therapist:

    Cheers from a rejuvenated Shanex!

[IMG] That looks like a very nice Total Knee. Sir you have a child coming, aren’t you a tad young for a knee replacement? Cheers all.

Hey Tim, you can be too young for a lot of things, not for this procedure. Another of his patient was mid-30s, with a pretty much screwed up knee and also needed it. Not much a matter of age. Cheers.

Unfiltered Pilsner Urquell at the brewery in Plzeň, with a šnyt pour. Very good indeed!

And a picture from earlier in our tour where we got unfiltered pilsner straight from the oak barrel. Also very good!

Glad you two @flagmantho are enjoying another great week in Europe. I gravitated toward the heavy hitters pretty early in my craft journey, but prefer the lighter styles especially over 60 F these days. And thanks for the praise yesterday @ATL6245 , you remain the reigning leader here in great beer selections and music choices.

Pretty crazy I still have a six pack after a generous allotment from the brewery last season. Really hope my baby comes back soon packaged. I will monitor Revolution's release calendar closely.

Thanks to @elNopalero for kicking off new-beer Thursday!

RAR Out Of Order Going Down? Fruited Sour, 5% ABV. Pours deep purple with a half-finger light-purple head that left puree residue. Aroma is all berry (blue, rasp, black, straw) and lactose. Taste follows, with berry stealing the show, quite sweet, slightly tart. Decent mouthfeel, overall excellent.

Picked up more leaves this morning, but before I could a lot blew up the street, and winds are supposed to gust to 40 this afternoon. May not be much to pick up after that. We could get our first snow Saturday.

Back from Plzeň and getting through some of the beers picked up earlier in the trip. This is an Irish stout from Austria that’s not entirely to-style but isn’t actually too bad.

It's absolutely beautiful today, out here in McGregor, and even though Sundae threw up on the bed, right beside my pillow (she's right as rain again now, thank God), both her and Gracie wanted to help me investigate my three new beers of the day...

First for today, it's my third brew from Altona-Nord, Germany's Holsten-Brauerei AG--their 5% Premium Pilsner. It's bookending articles on the cult classics Bloody Mama (Roger Corman, 1970); Bound (Lana & Lilly Wachowski, 1996); Brick (Rian Johnson, 2005); and Chopper (Andrew Dominik, 2000), for no apparent reason (though I've seen Bound, and it's awesome)...

    Next, it's my fifth of Kingsville, Ontario's Kingsville Brewery's handiworks--their 6.5% Hazy IPA ...

Finally for today, it's my fourth of the wares from Kenora, Ontario's Lake of the Woods Brewing Company--their 5.2% Peach Pale Ale called Sneaky Peach...

The three beers are also shown bookending articles on the cult classics Breathless (Jean-Luc Godard, 1960); Alone in the Dark (Jack Sholder, 1982); Anatomy of a Murder (Otto Preminger, 1959); and The Big Combo (Joseph H. Lewis, 1955), with purely infinitesimal rationale, although I've seen the first and third, and they're great pictures, well worth the effort to investigate, to be sure...

Tomorrow: Three more new beers for me to peruse, from the following breweries:
    --Labatt Brewing Co. (Toronto, Ontario; my fourth of their wares);
--Lake of Bays Brewing Co. (Baysville, Ontario; my seventh); and
--Nita Beer Company (Ottawa, Ontario; my third)...

Have a great rest of your day, and cheers...from The Responsible Beer Drinking Club! =)
