Half Acre Brewing Co. (2025)

I'm so used to 12 PM ET drops that I was sitting on OZNR wondering why I couldn't buy yet.

 

No plans for 2 packs in the fridge. Already full boxes in the fridge.

 

Disappointing but also not surprising. I feel like if Half Acre wants to make Benthic a box only release they should produce less variants. At $200 a box the rum/amburana inclusion makes this a hard pass for me. It's a shame cuz 2x4 and Vanilla are probably my favorite barrel aged releases every year.

 

Benthic box is auto purchase for me every year although the variants this year sound extra good - hopefully they deliver!

 

Easy to miss on the menu, but on draft they have a NON ADJUNCTED version of Triple Barrel Benthic. I've been hoping they'd do this forever. Here's hoping they ramp up this idea moving forward. Dark chocolate, BIG wood, dark cherry & pleasing booze heat. The mouthfeel is less sticky, too. Pictured at left.

Always is! Great beer every time out and you gotta love their nitro line

 

Hope some of the cool stuff stays on draft until I can make it Wednesday. Both sound incredible.

 

How does this year's Benthic compare to the previous years? Going to grab mine on Friday.
I tried Immortal at FOBAB and it had an earthy note I wasn't a fan of, but I just drank a bunch of pastry stouts so my palate was wrecked.

 

Does anyone has a total after tax for Benthic this year?

Also, can someone confirm it’s in the fridge today still available to go?

I thought it was better than last year. More coconut in base Benthic, Vanilla was great as always, personally loved the Immortal but I get Apple Brandy barrel might not be for some, 2x4 is consistently one of my favorites and the Triple Barrel knocked my socks off, that shit is dangerous. Marabi was a bit of a letdown but still way better than the Turtle that tasted like wet cardboard last year.

 

Anyone know if that triple barrel non-adjunct is still pouring? Looking to head over to the taproom after Rev today
