Hop Butcher Snorkel Squad IPA (Citra). When this beer is on point, it's hard to top it for a Citra hazy. Not the best batch of this one, but still solid stuff.

My last glass bottle, so that I’m only packing cans in my suitcase. Cervisia Mellicensis, brewed “by” a Vienna brewery that is, itself, a contract brewery, for the Benedictine abbey in Melk, Austria. So it’s like two steps removed from the brewery that actually made this beer

It’s an interesting herbal brew … not bad, but mostly a novelty.

Thanks to all of the kind folks who wished me a happy birthday yesterday, I really appreciate it!!

Also, thanks to everyone who joined us on the Beer Zoom last night - it was great to meet up with everybody once again. I will admit that Little Willow Cemetery Walk Imperial stout got the best of me :stuck_out_tongue: Had a blast though!!

Having a SN Pils at the moment. This is such an easy drinking brew, easy to toss back a couple of these for sure. They're actually the perfect size for my vintage Carlsberg glass.

Overall, I enjoy this beer. It is not as brash as some hazies can be yet it also lacks a certain bit of flavor punch. Maybe it's the relative age of the beer. Still, it's a nice sipper for a mild early November early afternoon.

    1) Young Blood Gus Polinski's Clarinet (5.2%): A Festbier from Wisconsin with flavors of pale Munich malts and toasted honey and bread.
    versus
    2) Surly Oktoberfest (6.0%): A Festbier from Minnesota with flavors of lemon, orange, sweet honey and bread Munich malts. Light floral notes. (Mismatched the two blind)

Wisconsin vs. Minnesota Festbier Battle. First is Young Blood. My first try at this. Bready, honey, and leans sweet. Excellent flavors. Nicely done.
Next is Surly. Slightly cleaner here. Bit more floral crispness as well. I prefer it.
    Winner: Surly Oktoberfest

Today may be cool and overcast, but my lady Pamela, her two cats and I are healthy and happy, so life's good, out here in McGregor, my neck of the woods. Both cats were moderately intrigued enough to check out my three new beers for the day with me: First, it's my fourth beer from Bowmanville, Ontario's Lightcaster Brewery--their 5% Křupavě Czech-style Pilsner...

Second, it's my third from London, Ontario's London Brewing Co-operative--their 4.6% Organic Coffee Cream Ale...

More in a bit! Cheers, from McGregor! =)

Finally for today, it's my fifth from Toronto, Ontario's Lost Craft--their 6% Supernatural IPA...

The three beers were also shown with my classic movie poster of the week--for a fine 40's horror noir starring Boris Karloff, Bedlam (Mark Robson, 1946). I got this film a few years back in a 6-pack Boris Karloff DVD set, and it was marvelously entertaining for me...

Tomorrow: Three more new beers worthy of my exploration, from the following breweries:
    --Grand River Brewing (Vaughan, Ontario; my fifth of their endeavours);
--Mascot Brewery (Toronto; my eighth); and
--Mill Street Brewery (Toronto; my seventh)...

Have a great rest of your day, and cheers...from The Responsible Beer Drinking Club! Ask for it by name! =)

Its only near 90 degrees out in November, but sure, I'll have my first Saint Arnold Christmas Ale of the season

More birthday celebration for Joni...Court and Spark. An equal masterpiece to Blue, but this is the beginning of her pulling in way more jazz influences here. That aspect of her writing hasn't been fully realized yet, but its getting there. Its also so inconceivably harmonically adventurous, can't get enough.
