Not as huge a fan of this beer as many of you, but I’m good for at least one a season, especially a draft pour. Tastes like a heavy pour cinnamon on toast.

    A midday beer? Moi?
    Yeah.

    Time to Focal on...

10 miler this a.m. on road to trail with some breakdown ladder reps (2', 90", 1' ON, with 2' off) x 3. Tough, but held up. Hamstring tenderness continues but doesn't affect the run, so. *shrugs*

    Cheers! Happy hump day.

Last call for me here. Have to state for the record the Celebration became more like Jagermeister as I killed it off.

Reply to Micah 1036195[/URL]]@GreenBayBA : I also hope to catch up next year in Kenosha, Milwaukee, or a more northern Wisconsin locale in 2026.

Haven’t had this on tap in years. Really cool I can find at a neighborhood bar in Chicago. The beer, food, Lake Michigan and people are part of the reasons I’ll stay here for life.

Good afternoon, all! At BW3 in Heath, Ohio, enjoying a Columbus IPA with street tacos and chips. I'd forgotten how good this beer is. As a classic go-to IPA, I'd put it up there with Stone IPA and 60 Minute. Now, if I'd read the entire tap list before ordering, this might well be a Great Lakes Christmas Ale. Unfortunately, it's one-and-done for me these days. Cheers!

@GreenBayBA you may have not been present at the latest Philly share but I guess in some ways you were there. This is a can I picked up at the can draft that we traditionally do at each of these shares. Straight from Sheboygan!

Getting back to normal temps around here where we actually hit 60. Unfortunately, i need to stay out of the sun for 2 days after yesterday's skin treatment.
Enjoying a QIPA colab with Burial and Monkish. This is nicely done. Amazing that IPA yeast can produce a 12% brew without the residual alcohol.
    Cheers!

    1) Surly Hell Lager (5.0%): A German lager from Minnesota that has flavors of lemonflower with a dry yeasty and pale malt finish.
    versus
    2) Surly Oktoberfest (6.0%): A Festbier from Minnesota with flavors of lemon, orange, sweet honey and bread Munich malts. Light floral notes. (Correctly matched the two blind)

Surly lager battle. First is Surly Hell. One of my favorite lagers of the summer. Bright, floral, and clean. Excellent. Next is Surly Oktoberfest. Quite similar floral notes, but slightly more honey malt body and toasted. Both have a crisp floral component which is why I like Surly beer so much. Their Hell is one of their best.
    Winner: Surly Hell

I drink this beer waaay more often than I post here. Wish it was year-round but obviously that's not feasible.

Interesting since there is no cinnamon or other spices in Celebration.

Yeah. After about 5-6 months, IMO, the flavor and feel deteriorate rather quickly. So much better fresh.
