Tavour is a great site that I wouldn’t stop monitoring.

Farm To Fist is delicious. Highly recommend letting it warm up slightly for the flavors to open up nicely. Hope Rev makes this an annual distributed release.

Does anyone know if today’s Deep Woods release can be picked up this Thursday or do you have to wait until the taproom release Friday?

Season Ticket holders can pick up on Thursday. General Public on Friday. Can always try to email and see if they'll make an accommodation for you though.

Saw this comment from Rev on their social media:
    Also, Eugene has returned.

Awesome! Thanks. I might try to hit up a preview party (or leftovers of one) to try the Apple Brandy variant. I love Calvados so hoping that I'll taste it in the barrel. But now maybe I'll be on the lookout for the cans too

Have had Eugene and loved it, but Repo Man is still the best beer Rev makes.

Are the taproom draft variants out yet?

Apple Brandy Ryeway Money Barrel (16%), single "money barrel" of '25 AB Ryeway received a double dose of fire-toasted French oak, providing a balancing boost of brioche, vanilla, and smoky caramel.

Rum VSOJ Money Barrel (13.5%), single "money barrel" of '25 Rum VSOJ was dosed with a double dose of fire-toasted American oak, delivering a massive punch of vanilla, caramel, and bourbonesque finery.

    Straight Jacket vertical as well, '19, '20, '22, '23, and '25.

We'll be doing these (except for 2025) as small complimentary samples served from a jockey box in the back of the Taproom. We figured you'd have plenty of full tasters already but wanted to celebrate Straight Jacket's history a bit this time around, so consider it a fun bonus! I'll be pouring back there for the first few hours of the release, so come say hi.

    Oh, and we had to swap 2022 for 2021, so it'll be 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2023.

Both 'money barrels' are tasty, but the slight edge goes to the Apple Brandy Ryeway version. Incredibly smooth & dangerously easy to drink.

Worst On Show = Revolution of Ruby, the Firestone Walker colaboration. Funky armpit vibes to this admittedly stunted palate.

The Straight Jacket vertical was fun...and as always, freshest was best.

As always, a killer event in the taproom today.

I could not get into that AB money barrel. I love the regular, and I loved the AB VSOR variant a few years ago. But, to my taste, the money barrel had this weird medicinal thing going on. Everything else I enjoyed, even if the Ruby was a bit strange and came across more as a not-very-hoppy ipa.

How do people feel about the rum VSOJ?

For the posters who work at Rev-is Deths Tar/Cafe and SJ making it to Michigan? Usually does but I haven’t seen any so far this year. TIA

I enjoyed it quite a bit. I tend to like sweeter barleywines though. I thought the money barrel version in particular had a pleasant molasses-like flavor

Gravedigger Billy = 10/10 bus beer. Highly recommended.
