What beer are you drinking now? #4780

Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout Winter 2025 the new release I know that many BAs think this beer is better when aged a year or more. I don't, IMHO it is better fresh. In any case it is a great brew.

I've been craving some Celebration. Poured it in one of my many glasses belonging to Greek breweries.

After a successful liver flush last night into today, it seems he's ready for action

Lolev - Taupō II NEIPA

 

1) Sam Adams Winter White (5.7%): A Belgian Witbier from Boston with flavors of orange peel, lemon citrus, coriander, and spices.
versus
2) Sam Adams Oktoberfest (5.3%): A German Märzen from Boston with flavors of flavors of rich bread, toasted caramel, red cherry and cinnamon roll. (Correctly matched teh two blind)

Sam Adams seasonal battle. First is their Winter White. I mistakenly thought this was their winter warmer until I poured this. Nevertheless, it's a Belgian witbier. Orange peel, spices, pretty good stuff.
Next is their Oktoberfest. A fantastic Oktoberfest Marzen and one of the best from the US IMO. Gets the win here. Interestingly both of these poured flat despite my usual pouring technique.
Winner: Sam Adams Oktoberfest

 

Hop Butcher Kielbasa King DIPA share at Big Hammock Brewing.

 

Noble Beast Pressure Drop - a steam beer, in this economy? Good, too, as always. Going for the big coffee stout next though. Then it's game time. Probably gonna need it.

It's rough out there when even the good places have to close. Devastating.

 

Cleared out a local bottle shop of their last 14 bottles of this. Oh, happy day!
