Cranberry wine, that sounds interesting. I might check that out. If it's dry/tart, I'm in if I find it.

    Cheers!

Haven't completely decided specifics. I am doing a Turkey Trot 5k that morning with the running club, so I'll probably have one or two with them afterwards - thinking a Jack's Abby and maybe bring a TreeHouse along.
Cooking and cleaning later on, I'll probably more or less hold off till after lunch. Couple of something or other in the preperation, then a big ol' swig of whiskey as the guests arrive. I have bourbon-barrel aged cabernet (yes, wine) during the meal, and probably some port for afterwards.

I always plan to drink a massive BBA stout or barleywine at the end of the night, but by the time that comes around, I've had so much food and other beer that I literally can't stomach it. We also host every year, so I'm pretty dead once I actually get to sit down to watch whatever football game is on

Might go a little lighter this year with a Tree House Marzen, Sierra Nevada Celebratoon/Harvest, NEBCO Fuzzy Baby Ducks. We'll see How I feel after those....

I actually got a one gallon batch of English Bitter in the fermenter right now. Fingers crossed.

...Allen stopped all operations a few years back per communication I had with him, but he may do a rare collaboration in the future (not sure if that has ever happened)...HoTD still sells some beers from their web site, but the selection is very limited at this point...it wouldn't surprise me if some retailers still stock their beers...

...I have no set plans other than a pFriem Pumpkin Bier...other possibilities will be some Epic pumpkin porters, perhaps a Kasteel Donker quad...for something lighter, I am thinking of more North Coast Scrimshaw or even some Red Leg Spring's Lite Lager...

I found this at Trader Joe's recently - more for my girlfriend's mom than me - she prefers something a bit more sweet than dry - but, we'll see! It's from Italy....

    Those look like great choices!

I used to always have 3 Monts when it was available here, but may pick up some Hennepin or DuPont. I do like saisons with the meal.

A Celebration or two while cooking starting in the early afternoon.

Likely a cranberry-gin-rosemary type of cocktail when guests arrive, though the temptation to stick with Celebration instead will be strong.

    Wine with dinner.

Do you have any local info as to why Fremont didn't do a brew 9000 this year? No info anywhere and i thought they did one every year?

That sounds lovely. Something about barleywine, old ale and strong ale (but not stoutwine) says Thanksgiving to me.
