    Not sure how SN decides on what states get Celebration only in cans vs both cans and bottles, but apparently I live in a bottle desert, which saddens me. There is something very satisfying about drinking this out of a bottle (or poured out of a bottle).

    Quite decent. You don't feel the 7.7% abv. It's slightly floral and really clean overall.

    Now savoring a 2024 Sierra Nevada Bigfoot, still delicious and hoppy.

    Felt like this week had an extra day in there for some reason. Work wrapped up. Enjoying my favorite locally made Belgian style Tripel The Way. Spicy notes with some nice fruity aroma. Cheers!

    ...inappropriate for addition to the BA database, but I would record my impressions as such:

    4.25 3.75 3.75 4.25 4.0

    Fine and clear dark brown body and pour; rich, dense, and sudsy head, long-lasting. Balanced malt-forward nose; light chocolate and toffee. Bitter and malty first impression with the taste; milk and dark chocolate; grain char; grain char bitterness. slight vanilla aspect. Medium-heavy body; smooth and generally silky mouthfeel; soothing residual sugar presence.

    ...Fred (see note below) has brewed a fine, straight-forward porter (American-styled, I presume)...I think with a year or so of cellaring would tame the rough-edged qualities, but this is quibbling about things...as-is, I'd buy a crate of this stuff...

    ...my recollection of this beer's origin and acquisistion consists of only recalling a nebulous connection to Seymour von McBierSkeez, IV (who provided me a fine Czech lager reviewed about 15 years ago on BA)...as I vaguely recall, Seymour's sister - Fred - was the brewer and homesteads off an uncharted atoll near Diego Garcia in the BIOT, or so our past Baudot 5-level teletype communication tapes lead me to believe...regardless, the beer was delivered in the dark, early morning hours...our security cameras showed no human form around our front stoop that morning...spooky stuff...
